Postby Hazydog » Thu Apr 11, 2024 5:46 pm

Dogs coming off a solid Round 1 win will be confident of taking on a Crows outfit who will be hampered by the mounting injury list
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Assume they would have taken at least one emergency.. assume Dowling and one of Burgess or Borlase will line up for the ressies..
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

CD 15.7 97
CROWS 5.12 42
A 55 point win,
kicked over 90 points 2 weeks in a row,
Pearce kicked 5 goals,
he's coming along nicely under Thommo & Co's coaching methods.

It seems the Dogs circa 2024 are stronger than last season. And clearly the recruits, particularly Barry and Gasper, have had a big impact.
What cannot be discounted is the huge steps taken by some of the pre-existing playing group. Liddy and Larkins in the midfield, Dudley, Grace and Pearce up front and Will Splann down back are all much improved on previous outings.
Been a long time since the Dogs had two fwds (Pearce and Grace) kicking 5 each.

Dogs looking solid. The midfield additions of Barry and Dittmar add class and grunt. Gaspar adds class upfront.

Pudney had a good debut, Presbury to half back is working well.

Pearce kicked 5, that cost me a round.

When is the last time dogs started the season 2-0.
