Dear @Spelly

South went 3, 2, 1, 0 with respect to goals for the game

Has this ever occurred before?

Happy to get the win.

Just watching the replay after missing yesterdays game due to an opportunity to make wicket-keeping look harder than what it is

Memo CK Bays fans don’t use the expressway Brighton Rd Lonsdale hey is quicker, but I like the “colder than a mother in laws tongue” quip

Some real interesting decisions in the first qtr

2min mark Reynolds under the ball gets caught front on and over the shoulder play on, OK

10 min Fitt over the shoulder:chopping the arms paid (appeared to be the same umpire) fair enough you don’t pay Reynolds but don’t go paying that one

17 min mark Hosie hands in the back going for the mark -gets the mark

26 min mark as CK calls it McBean held (a la last qtr last week) not paid

Well after a dodgy first qtr that was a reasonably well umpired game and enjoyable call

Well that was a bloody good win

Things that have been frustrating over the last two years, over handball, failure to pul the trigger when we’re goal side to get it into the best fwd line in the comp, an ability to have a front and square at the contest and our fwd 50 pressure are clearly being fixed by Reeva

Pleasing seeing the improvement over the last five weeks in Lyons, Wisdom, Bell and McGree. We know what we’re going to get from Snook, Proud, Pink McBean and Allan but to have our bottom tier step up augurs well for sharing the load.

Next four games we’ll tell us where we are at: North Central Adel Sturt who are all in the five.

However I agree with CK, something is not right at South they are better than what they showed yesterday.

South did get the rub in that first term. 2 goals from questionable frees, and a denied mark to Glenelg costing them a probable goal... but I thought the umps swung behind Glenelg in the second. In retrospect, they did seem to favour whichever team was kicking to the north. Odd.

Any win at Noarlunga is a good win, given the Bays record there, but South did have their chances. Could have put the Tigers away by 3/4 time if they'd capitalised when they were in charge; or at the least would have turned the final term into a struggle.

The burger with the lot from the BBQ on the hill might be the best burger in the SANFL. Shame that only 1100-odd punters turned up to sample the wares. Was the coronation pre-show that much of a drawcard? And will South Adelaide re-name themselves after their new mascot ... The Cupcakes?

Wright in his 6th year as coach and seems to have run out of ideas. Our inability to score is killing us. The club might need to look at other options and replace Wright. We are going backwards.

Hopefully Gibbsys thumb isnt too bad be a sad way for the the ex-Glenelg boy to finish his career.

can still see him side stepping North blokes and lacing Glenelg players from the half back line in 2006.
