Why didn't you use the free ticket to get in and just sit with your mates?

Where my mates were was fully ticketed. We pack out a bay and then some.
I ended up having about 10 tickets to last years gf, we used 4, 2 to catch up with mates and family before the game and 2 to have all you can eat/drink in prime seats in the members, I promised that to the missus after she saw stuff all of the 2018 GF from the hill, it was chaos up there!

Should’ve run away from the club doctor.

Mr Fuller wrote:Interesting that Matt Parker who was taken in the mid-season draft by Richmond has been cleared by the club and the WAFL to front up for South Fremantle to play in their final series. Apparently the WAFL have some arrangement whereby any WAFL player that is selected in the mid-season draft has the right to return to their original club to play finals.

Anyone know whether the SANFL have such a rule?

You can imagine that Norwood would eagerly welcome back Callow from Hawthorn while the Eagles would benefit from Cooper Sharman. You can't imagine either AFL club would permit this given the desire for their squad to remain injury free and Covid border restrictions would probably make it impossible......but we can dream :)

Yep they can if the AFL club lets them.

Interesting that 18 of the 22 mid season draft picks this year didn't play, the system is not working, its just become another opportunity to collect talent, and yes my club are probably the most guilty this year.

Eagles and Norwood both coming off big wins.

Eagles have been very impressive and I think they will win by 3 goals.

South coming off a welcome win and for me, North were surprisingly belted by Sturt.

Two outs for North (Hartung would need 10 seasons to play a hundred games) forces some change. South will make at least one change with Broadbent a very welcome inclusion and I think Kappler will be unlucky.

North took out the flag in 2018 from the elimination final and a repeat here is not impossible.

However, our early season form was good enough to give hope, and I hope it returns.

I think we are good enough but we have to be good enough for long enough to win.

South by a point.

Agree.

Despite North's crap lead-in form, I reckon they'll bounce back as they enjoy playing on Adelaide Oval. Hartung's not that much of a loss, he really only provided cameo appearances in the side this year.

What's the forecast for Sunday?

Pretty confident South will get the job done on Sunday.
North will be a different side to the one that eliminated South a few years ago; they will miss the physical influence brought by their former runner and their former coach.
South with plenty to play for.

South to quick for North.
Looked a more balanced side last week.

Hopefully the side don't get sucked into North's intimidation and usual sniping we see regularly.

Pretty confident we can get over the line by 3 goals.

In the other game,

Eagles over Norwood by 4 goals.

The Eagles named 7 on the I/C bench but with Litster, Von Bertouch and Cameron all playing reserves today meaning that Firns, Jungfer, Comitogianni, Beecken will all play.

Sheedy throwing a bit of surprise with both VB and Cameron playing reserves. When Hayes goes into the ruck we won't have a single player above 190cm in our forward line!! I expect the direction will be to keep the ball moving quickly to avoid Norwood getting back and clogging up our forward line.

Firns will probably assume the role a a small 6'1 CHF given he has pinch hit there on occasion during the season.

It's going to be a wet day. That ought to moderate the lack of height in the team. Fairly astute of Sheedy I reckon.
