R13 Central v Port Saturday 2.10

Postby DOC » Wed Jun 30, 2021 12:59 pm

Both sides coming off a loss.

First time around Centrals led well but failed to kick a goal in the second half to lose by 17 points.

Hard to make a case here for Port.

Centrals by 3 goals.

Probably their strongest for the year: Butters, Clurey, Hartlett and Mead all in.

PORT

Port Adelaide will be strengthened by the return of four AFL-listed players for its game against Central at X Convenience Oval.

Classy forward Zak Butters will resume from his ankle ailment while key defender Tom Clurey has recovered from his broken jaw.

Jackson Mead has overcome his surprise setback with a ruptured spleen while Hamish Hartlett is back from AFL duty.

League

F: Moore, Lord, Butters

HF: Carter, Weidemann, McEntee

C: Hartlett, Appleton, Wildman

HB: Westbrook, Goldsack, Strange

B: Garner, Clurey, Pasini

R: Hayes, Mead, Samblich

INT: Corcoran, Aldridge, Edwards, Wong

IN: Butters, Clurey, Mead, Hartlett

The SANFL has allowed them to fly players back from the bubble
Still, it could be worse: Fogarty, Lynch and McAdam are all playing for Adelaide.

I said that I found it hard to make a case for Port. That side makes it easier.

Great, that'll give another "kid" some League time for a game, maybe two. Good thinking! ;)

Butters and Clurey would only play a bit over a half of footy I would suspect

We owe these bastards from round 2.

We were smashing them at half time and then a different side rocked up in the second half

If we are close to them at half time I’m confident we can bring home the points today
