FMD 1435. Shortest day of the year (almost) and a late game start, You have no competition Chandler. If there is a bigger one let me know.

Sturt surprised Port with a great 6 goal win and South had the week off after losing to Norwood.

First time around south won by 6 goals after a close first three quarters.

Sturt may make one change with Houlahan listed with concussion. South look set to have Wilkinson back and don't they need him. Selectors may also make the call on 2 others.

Sturt have won 4 of the last 5 at Unley.

You got it, South by a point.

This was going to be the C7 TV game, hence the start time of 2:35pm...

But it is now changing to Digital Pass and North v Port will be the televised game...

To be confirmed today, but I believe the start time will go back to the traditional 2:10pm start...

Myself and the great Wayne Weidemann calling this one now for the Digital Pass...

That’s a better strike rate than @DOC’s injury count…

Hate to be pedantic Doc but all days are 24 hrs ( and a tad which gives us a leap year every 4 years). The amount of daylight is at it's shortest at present and gradually gets longer as we head to the Dec22.

You can't fight facts.

But if Brett was still posting he would.

STURT

Sturt premiership forward Mark Evans will play his last game in the Statewide Super League when his side hosts South Adelaide at Unley Oval.

The Ken Farmer Medallist will be farewelled by the Unley faithful after failing to overcome an ongoing hamstring issue this season.

Evans, who has missed the past three matches with his hamstring complaint, returns to half-forward in the wake of Jordan Houlahan’s (concussion) unavailability.

The 29 -year-old, who played in Sturt’s 2016 and 2017 flags, will be playing his 156th League match and has booted a total of 252 goals.

Making his League debut for Norwood in Round 17, 2009, Evans played 41 games and kicked 61 goals for the Redlegs before moving to Oxford Terrace in 2015.

Tall defender Riley Grundy, wingman Josh Shute and utility Joel Thiele have also been added to the seven-man extended interchange bench.
