Firstly to the vanquished and o mean no offence to the Norwood faithful on here but Norwood aren’t that far off it.

They showed in the dust half that if they follow the coaches new game plan, work for each other and get first to the cod the are a good side. The one rider on that is they seem to have a lot of top end ex AFL blokes who desire may be there but there bodies aren’t hence the lack of ability to play 4 qtrs. get games into that middle tier of players and they by OK I reckon. Having blokes coming back from injury today was going to be tough.

My lot, talk about chalk and cheese. The first half we didn’t want to do the work, it was all about me and with Norwood bringing the pressure we looked awful. We had plenty of petrol tickets left and thankfully we cashed them in, in the 2nd half. We got first to the footy, we ran to create space and we put the pressure back in Norwood.

Thankfully we got the chocolates. I’m sure Handy will be referencing this game again this season. The chalk and cheese between both those halves in how we want to play and how we don’t want to play is stark.

Finally one last kudo to Norwood, 110 + tackles, you can’t say they didn’t have a crack, they effort is there. It’s the polish that’s required now.

I seem to remember The 'Dogs doing it back in the 70's, about 7 goals down at 1/2 time at The Parade & getting up to win.

Not quite as spectacular as Glenelg and certainly not in the same league as Central's turnaround but North did turn a 35 point deficit at half time into an 11 point victory in 1987.
That was part of North's six wins in a row at Norwood between 1986 and 1990 inclusive.

Didn’t we kick the last 7 goals in the last qtr to win by 6 pts over Centrals at Footy Park in 1991?

I haven’t seen Centrals wear the red shorts since.

Spargo did say yesterday that the umpiring was very one sided.

Durdin got a hand on it, no question.

If a goal umpire says it was touched they are almost always correct,

A small margin of error in the reverse when it may have been touched and not seen.
