Preliminary Final Eagles v South

Eagles and finals are most seasons where as South are not quite as regular.

Thinking only Joel Cross has played in a preliminary final before and the Eagles still have a number from 2018.

A game apiece during the minor round.

South appear set for a selection headache with Tyson Brown fit but do you drop anybody from that team?

Forecast is great and I already can't wait.

Might not need to drop anyone, has Overall been sighted for the high hit in the first quarter??? From the stands it looked late and very high so wouldn’t be surprised if he got a week off

If the question mark on your keyboard sticks try a wet wipe or a cotton bud with some alcohol on it.

No report as yet. No one gets more than a reprimand (this year) for almost anything. He will play.

Partington has nothing to do with Overall’s actions.
Can you comment on the Overall incident please @blueandwhite ?

Why would you bring up an incident totally irrelevant to the one mentioned?

Can’t wait for this one. First Prelim since 2014 for the Panthers. This will be a very hard match. The Eagles will not want to go out in straight sets after easily winning the minor premiership. Whichever team better deals with the heat (both game intensity and weather) will win. I expect it to be close the whole way through. Go the mighty Panthers!

To correct my opening post, Sam Overall also played in the Preliminary Final with Joel Cross.

Not so sure about the comment "after easily winning the minor premiership". Both Eags & NA were tied on points, only percentage separated them.

So I find it hard to believe that Eags were such red hot favourites.

Considerable percentage gap in a shortened season between 1 and 2, and convincingly beat the second placed side on both occasions. Clearly the best side on the comp in the minor round, a view well supported by the bookies (as much as I hate measuring performance by gambling odds).

Almost 8% and a win clear on top and yes they were hot favourites since about half way through the season and rightly so. They are a very good team and this will be an extremely close and tough match.

This should be an excellent game. Both sides have mega-motivation to win, both play good football, and whatever the outcome it will lead to a great match-up for the GF.

SANFL released the match review findings on their website and nothing about Overall.
