Round 13 West v Eagles Friday 1920

Hard to see the Eagles getting done in this one.

Their effort against Glenelg was first class and players will want to hold their spots with just 2 rounds to go before finals.

West started Ok against South but fell away badly in the second half. Some changes will be made. Just not enough cattle but did win this game last year against the odds.

Eagles for me.

Funny things can happen in the last rounds. Eagles are pretty certain of a top 2/double chance finish, and may decide to rest and refresh some players with niggling injuries. Perhaps this game just depends on strategy and the "long game"...the Eagles only have to win one game, the 2nd semi, to be in the GF.

Having seen both teams recently: Westies aren't that bad ... but the Eagles are that good. Not being at Woodville they won't get their usual armchair ride this week but it won't matter. Eagles to keep West at arm's length all match.

Westies aren’t bad. They are worse than that.
We’ve won 3 games of football from our last 30 games.
This year our League Team has one win, Reserves 2 wins and Under 18s have one win.

Our club is on its knees!!!!!

Tuned in and the commentary is still poor. as many on here have said. Talking about upcoming games and they cant get that right . Is there a best of the worst ?
So many have poor voices and same comments often.

I guess you pay for what you get.

110 to 34. Tough night for West,

Eagles way too good. Only had 4 more clearances which is surprising.

You have to feel for Colville, West just hasn't got the depth to challenge for 4 quarters. Eagles did what they had to do. More handballs than usual with lots of run and carry. A good confidence boosting game for Lowson and Tsitas was in everything. All players who came in contributed which was encouraging. First gamer, Ben Jungfer laid some great tackles and Pudney made space and had plenty of possessions. When all fit though, these two plus West, Firns and Lee unfortunately miss out.

When you charge parents $500 for kids to attend your development squads, it actually turns kids away from your club.

Agreed
However living near Richmond oval it’s awful finding the “ live” game tends to be a minute roughly behind the actual game .
Yes I got lazy watched the game on the pass . We could hear the umpires whistle or the fence banging ( not as much )and the siren sounding and other things way before they were on the pass .

I thought I might poke my head in here too. No wonder the club had been for a few years trying to get Tsitas here...39 disposals and 10 tackles. That goal in the 2nd, he was already in the motion to do a blind turn before he grabbed the ball. Did that all in one go, then ran a few metres to snap the goal...arguably the best goal I've seen this year.
