Port v Sturt Sat 1410

Port thumped by flag fav's Glenelg last outing. A week off and some big inclusions likely will see them much harder to beat. Sturt playing good consistent footy.

Danger game for the Blues.

Port by a goal.

Hartlett, Frampton and Ladhams will play, the latter two added to the side that lost to the Yabs.

Dixon and Wines might.

Tough game to pick, will depend on whether Wines and Dixon play as those 2 can influence the result.

Dixon and wines playing might make it better for Sturt as they (especially Dixon) will probably be on restricted game time. Wouldn't be surprised to see Dixon iced up by 3/4 time

He might have 15 marks and 7 goals by then*.

*I base this on the Power reserves playing a more Sanfl brand of football and not the way they deliver the ball to him in the Afl.

What? Glenelg and all those sides above us decided not to turn up for the rest of the year?

I was worried about this game as soon as I saw that the Power had a week's break on us. Add the boost to player stocks they will receive, and the fact that Sturt is basically just getting the job done against those sides we have managed to beat, and I cannot see us doing too well in this one sadly.
Port at home by about 5 goals. I dare say that this would be a danger game even for the headline grabbing Bays ATM. Sturt, still struggling to stay in the 5.

You've got to at least be entertained by a Bay bloke trying to play mind games and deflect the premiership attention off of them.

True, though I can't fathom why he hasn't chosen a more convincing decoy than one 5 places lower than his team on the premiership ladder?

Well, it's obvious, usually anyone 5 spots below them is in 10th spot and an easy target.

Its only been 30+ years of disappointment and at times promising so much but only to let the fans down . So I can understand the deflection.

Mate, I’m happy to play the game - anything to keep the SANFL interest up.
But in a Port/Sturt thread, you (a Sturt supporter we all gather) keep posting about the Bays & their supporters...

Woodcock, Dixon, Cox across Ports forward line.

Going to be hard for Sturts back half.
