A member of last year’s victorious SA U18 team, Lochowiak has been named on a five-man extended interchange bench with fellow inclusion Daniel Fahey-Sparks.

Nothing shits me more than "Impressive goal sneak Darnell Tucker is unavailable due to the SA AFL Academy camp ".

We tend to play OK at Unley (as do Sturt) and that said I am hopeful rater than confident. We have not lost yet (despite trying very hard to do so) and I am hoping for a good game under much better weather conditions. Could we be the first side to draw three games in a row (I assume it has not been done)?

South by a point.

Perfect day for it. Under 18's with a very early start of 9.05 into the second quarter, (Sturt with a 5 goal lead and playing well). Ground in good nic, no breeze and hoping for a good crowd.

Hey everyone! Long time reader first time poster here. I sure hope after 2 weeks of feeling hollow that South get the win today. It will be interesting to see the response the players have. It will be a tough contest.
Go Panthers!

Indeed. We need to play the full four quarters to beat Sturt. Sturt have been very resilient over the last few years and we have been able to beat them at Unley a couple of times in the last 4 years.

Should be a great contest.

Reckon we might just get over the line today by less than a goal.

Heaslip and Kappler don't make the league side for South.

Dodd, Lochowiak don't make the league side for Sturt.

Unfortunately not at the game today. Can anyone confirm if the eye test for Heaslip and Emery matched their stats? Appeared to both have great games on paper. Great come back win for the reserves!

I'd assume that stats can be deceiving so he was asking if anyone actually at the game could confirm their games were as good as their stats appeared?

Emery was outstanding and will play league next week.

Heaslip got it plenty but disposal not great (not bad either).

No need for any travelling allowance for Brett then since he's a local.

Disappointing from South, at times diabolical in the second half. Undisciplined, poor skills, intent on indirect chipping around half back (and ultimately mucking it up) and lacked intensity around the ball.

Scoreboard was flattering, with South kicking the last four goals in junk time. Plenty of niggle, with Slimming reported for striking Cross in the first term, with the duel continuing through the day. Slimming took the honours.

Just two named in the best players by the club- Rose and Liddle.

Disappointing day at Unley.

Players looked flat and wonder if the last 2 weeks (draws) are taking its toll.
We were smashed in the middle and could never get on top.
Sturt played their usual shut down game against us. Ugly to watch but it worked. Stopped our running game.
Only could pick Rose, Liddle, Davis our best.
Few players out of touch today.
South really need to harden up as today we were soft.
Usual suspects can not do it week in week out - other players need to step up !

South kicking across ground (changing play) did not work.
Skills were comical at times.

Thought we would of shown more today.
