So again no TV coverage. What are we paying for exactly?

Clearly channel 7 is being paid as market consultant. The SANFL pays ch7 money, and ch7 then determines where and when coverage is scheduled - and indeed the start times of the games - so as to not interfere with its other football product.

Feck'em. I'll be listening to LIFE.

Thank Christ for Life FM.
Commentary on the digital pass was a joke, two people talking drivel whilst the game went on in the back ground. FFS, doesn’t anyone at sanfl actually watch this shit. Waltsh is totally clueless about the sanfl. Does he even know who the teams are. And the girl on with him sat and waffled garbage for the entire time I could hear to listen.

Watched the 2nd half with the vol off and life fm on. Even though there was about 20 second delay, it was inifinately better than the verbal diarrhoea being spruiked by Walsh and his no nothing side kick.

So the DP only employs callers who aren't working anywhere else.

What's the opposite to taking the cream off the top?

Dregs of the Kegs or Slops come to mind.

This makes absolutely no sense, why wouldn't you just get the best commentators available? Neil Cross and Michael Maney are good callers and at the Eagles home games, we get Pickles & Bonz who are also very good, why not just use the best people for the job?
Do the commentators get paid or is it voluntary?

Eagles/Norwood had on the SANFL radio/tv Lawrie Culliver with special comments from Bernie Mahoney.

Great call, very good research and clearly a cut above most.

Any call that has " ball up on the far side , right in front of the West End Draught sign, I imagine Bernie we will be supporting that sponsor in about 30 minutes time" is a good call.

That game was on Saturday, there was an SANFL game on Sunday but instead they showed some Brisbane AFL game.

At least this weekend we're getting a game on TV.

Why do they broadcast the games on the wrong side of the oval at Alberton?

At Alberton, the old scaffolding between the stands where camera used to go is gone or not useable... now they use upper level of Power HQ

I should add the commentators are still in the WIlliams stand as per previous, so they have a 180 different view to the viewer.

OK makes sense, can't imagine it would be too good looking into the a setting sun on a bright day
