Eagles got $51k transfer. Nice.

They asked that in reality it was about half that in the end so your information is sort of right but in the end sort of wrong

You might wanna check your information. Spoke to him at the Commercial in Two Wells Christmas Eve and they did pay quite a hefty sum to get him to Prospect Oval.

Howdy my reference is to do with the transfer fee than the sign on and i was told the eagles were playing hardball in regards to that but the final figure was in the high 20s not 50k but maybe they were trying to save face but not giving me the real price but i was confident this person would know but happy to be told otherwise.

I think you’ll find they paid high 40’s for the transfer. Straight from Nuttsys mouth. Big gamble for a bloke who’s hammys aren’t flash

Former Central District and Crows SANFL top up player Brock Castree doing a pre-season with North Adelaide.

Brock's Uncle is Rick Magowan who obviously played League footy for both the Dogs and Roosters.

Brock played in the SAAFL in 2017 at PAOC under former Bays player Brett Backwell.

If Brock's knee isn't giving him grief any longer, could be a handy midfielder.

I saw his league debut for Central against North and he looked a very promising player. It must have been 2013. I also saw him play as a Crows top up player. I wondered why Central had let him go but he didn't look nearly as impressive. Perhaps his knee was causing concern then.

I know when you can't manage your own finances or recruit effectively it's easy to blame those clubs that can (Norwood fans were the same last decade), but at least get your facts straight when whinging.

Edmead will have to pay Norwood to get a game! :D :D

Vili's have renewed their sponsorship at The Parade and will be paying him in pies and custard berliners

With Norwood having a bottomless salary cap they could fit Tippett in comfortably

Should enable us to put a reserves side on the park or will he be an over ager in the 18s?

Whittlesea is the son of Sturt Magarey Medallist Greg?
Good to see him with at least a little more blue on his guernsey, if that is the case. Hopefully we can perform a full conversion at a later date.

His old man’s name is Peter. President of Wangaratta Footy Club where Tom played in a flag last year.

Reckon that's all for this season's signings?

Sturt didn't do anything to cover the big loss of Beard.

Guessing they're going to back Voigt to develop alongside Read.

Interesting to see how it goes!

The SANFL is so diluted from even a decade ago, the State election might somehow have more interest potential.... :butthead: :butthead:
Well done Honest John!

The state election could have a huge effect on the SANFL,
especially if those members elected don't like pokies!

Given the nickname of one of Olsen's fiercest political foes, it's actually very funny you should call him that.

Sturt didnt need to do anything else, everyone else has gone backwards even more. The only danger to Sturt winning 3 in a row is an injury free run to one of the Reserves sides
