SANFL Finals - Week 1

Some old rivals and some modern day power houses battle it out this week :

12:10 Adelaide Oval - Elimination final

Norwood v Centrals - Only a couple of weeks back the Doggies pumped the 'Legs to keep their slim finals hopes alive, only Glenelg could be so Glenelg to get them into the 5, knocking off the Eags at home puts the Doggies right in the mix.

3:10 Adelaide - Qualifying final

Port Adelaide v Sturt - The Blues finshed off the minor round with a draw against their same-song-but-we-had-it-first eastern suburbs neighbours and Port came from behind to hand North the spoon.

Meanwhile the Eags sit back and enjoy the week off.

In the magoos' :

Central v West in the Elimination
North v Sturt in the qualifying.

Port get the week off.

In the U18's :

Sturt and West play the knock out and South play the Eagles for a shot in the GF.

Johnston and Phillips missing for Norwood. Bode in question.
How much of an impact has/does that have for the Legs?

A question for Legs supporters because I can only talk on what I see..... how much impact has Johnston had at Norwood over the past two years? Against us I have hardly noticed him, whilst when he was playing for North he damaged us so often.

Finals are always 50/50 mate, I'm excited but certainly not overconfident. Why last game?

Dogs $1.60, Legs $2.35 - Port $1.46, Blues $2.73 courtesy of Sportsbet. Would have thought both matches closer than that?

Good odds if you're a Legs or Sturd fan, both games are 50/50. I don't reckon Norwood will play as poorly as they did against us last time.

Since the AFL Reserves sides have entered I've become more and more disillusioned with the comp each year and several of our group have stopped attending completely. I still go most weeks but the enjoyment is dwindling and I've always said that the day a Reserves side wins the flag that will do it for me. Port look like making that a reality

Give over Jim. It'll do the comp a world of good for a traditional powerhouse to win the GF.

Fair enough mate, the intrusion of these turds has done nothing for the comp. I buy a season ticket every year but refuse to go to any games where the two jokes are involved. One of my best mates is a Legs fan and he goes every week but the passion isn't the same. The fact that genuine fans like yourself are considering pulling up stumps is an indictment on those running the comp.

We have to live together tuff guy.

For the benefit of our comp.

SANFL is dying.

All of us have to embrace this moment, for survival,

Unfortunately.

I think the Dogs can win again and I think Port will look very good in their build up for the Giants.
