3/4 time

NWD 10.5 (65)
SA 11.8 (74)

Handy late goal to Overall. South starting each quarter better but unable to put the Legs away.

70-25 marks in favour of the home side

Marks 70-25 Norwood's way? Sounds like a whole lot of chipping the ball around going on!

With all their onfield experience, why can't the Legs win the close ones?

Well done, Souths.

Cruel game, although I guess was going to be for whoever lost I guess.

Think we were brave just before 3/4 time and late in the last, but South had that bit more pluck and composure. Enjoy Southies, I'm off to sulk lol

South have had wins by 3, 5 and 4 points, and a loss by 6 points. 4 games of footy for an accumulated margin of 18 points. :-SS Would be interesting to know what the longest streak is for games decided by a goal or less.

Good game of footy for the most part. South had their nose in front for most of the night but the Legs looked likely winners in the dying minutes after a long goal from Levicki.

Dutchy's boy Raitt kicked a beauty in the final term. Didn't get much of it but liked his endeavour.

61 more possies for the Legs, and they lead the marks 82 to 36. Great tussle between Bass and Baulderstone in ruck.

Four games in and they've turned on him already.

Makes us look like amateurs!!

Crikeys we at least gave Campbell 8 games
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'm on record as not wanting him to get the gig.
We look so good when we run and take on the game rather than chipping it around and overusing the handball.
Would hate to be a forward for Norwood.
Lost count of the amount of times the ball got over the back and South had loose men inside of their forward 50. Everyone at the ground can see it except the brains in the coaches box. Two games we have now led late on and lost by refusing to drop back numbers.

South with too much pace and disposal efficiency.

We desperately need a stay at home key forward and midfielders with different dimensions.

So far our gameplan stinks.

Buddy Franklin couldn't kick a bag in our forward line. Chip it from one side of the ground to the other, then go backwards, chip it over to the other side and then with players streaming forward go for 1 handball too many, get turned over and the opposition has 2 loose man to raffle off the goal.
Rinse and repeat

Well its footy gods are out there, they liked us tonight.

Seriously, I thought we were gone but deep down hoped we had the hunger and desire in us to win.
Crossy's goal was a absolute floater of a kick but sailed in over the line. Cue South supporters going crazy !!!

Good to see a really good 4 quarter tonight. I thought we looked the better side most of the night but could not covert of the score board.

Observed Norwood to chip alot around the ground and run down the clock when not really required.

Best tonight for us boys - Cross, Seccull, Bass, Overall, Fields, Liddle.

Definitely a game to remember and a BIG confidence boast for us. :D

Great Friday night win to start the weekend.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

The style we've played this season has shown it gives us a much greater chance of scoring, but has also exposed us the other way, but far too soon to label it a failure. New coach has only been in place for 4 games, and we've lost two games each by less than a kick, against quality opposition.

If South can remain healthy, on last nights performance, they'll play finals so can't be selling them short.

Not one of our 6 listed forwards kicking a goal last night is obviously a worry, but that's not all down to the style we played. Patience required.

I thought Panos played as a key forward.

Bass v Baulderstone was a great battle in ruck. 40 plus hitouts each.

Should've tried to recruit Jarred Allmond.
