Will be out and about today.
Not my teams but am interested in the comp.
Obviously no TV,
can't find a radio station in the paper or on net,
can we get commentary or the scores on radio anyone please?

And what if you are driving around in the car? or if you are a Digger at home with no internet?

More disrespect shown by the media and the SANFL to its own competition.

It's lucky the game wasn't on TV or the radio. Crowd could have been even worse!

Couldn't agree more. So "user-unfriendly".

I was out on the golf course, minimal to zero updates on radio.

Only found out thanks to Dutchy's tweet.

And now there is a full streamed replay on youtube available, why wasn't this live streamed, would seem the logical thing to do?

I've asked if the stream can be fed to a digital radio station, no response as yet.

Digital Radio?? What's that? ;) Just over an hour's drive from CBD and you can't get it down here.

It's all fine to try new media on board but just flicking on your radio and listening to it, whatever you may be doing is so much easier and certainly more reliable than streaming services.

Agreed and obvious to ordinary supporters but not the SANFL.
Even in the next 10 years of modernisation the common radio will always be the best option for ordinary followers to say engaged in a game.
Cheap publicity for the competition as well.
Simple logic to me,but what do I know,
just a humble follower of footy in SA.
The league comp is withering on the vine.
Note the attendance yesterday.

All the extra digital radio stations that are not on the normal FM or AM band are owned by the 3 major Radio networks ARN, Southern Cross and Nova Entertainment. You can't just start a digital station you have to already have an AM/FM station. The reason there are more digital stations than AM/FM is because the networks have split their bandwidth to be able to create extra stations. For the SANFL to broadcast on digital they would need to do a deal with one of the networks. This would not come cheaply.

The SANFL contract a company called Adelaide AV & Sport, who film the games and now provide a commentary service for 2, sometimes 3 games a weekned...

I am in charge of cooridnating the commentators each week...

Not as simple as that...

With RPH pulling out 2 weeks before the season started, there wasn't much the League could do with such short notice...

At the end of the day, it is what it is. No doubt the League will reassess things at the end of the season...

Who knows, perhaps RPH and the SANFL might be able to come to an agreement, again?

I understand the comments about technology and the older generation but there isn't much you can do about that...

Via the official SANFL App, it is so easy to listen to the game and if you have a mobile device, you can listen to the call whilst driving around in the car, either via bluetooth or on the speaker of your phone...

It's not as hard or as bad as people are making it out to be...

Any coverage is better than NO coverage, surely?

Agreed, some coverage is better than none. Hopefully something can be put in place for next season for some radio coverage.

Any chance of LifeFM coming back on board?
