and furthermore, why are there still 9 teams in the SANFL reserves?
What on earth is a power academy side doing there?
Do they pay the SANFL to play? lol.

Geez only 1 real SANFL game in 5 weeks! What a joke
I think i'll go watch the State League Soccer and the SANFL can GAGF

Agreed. Pathetic programming. This really needs to be explained. To my eyes the fact that the SANFL has turned into a life support for two AFL reserves sides and nothing else is beyond debate.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Well said, trb. The clubs need to grow a pair and call the SANFL to account on this, although it's going to be difficult especially for those clubs like mine who voted to take inside the AFL club's Trojan Horse.

Seen any club's Financial Reports? It's not rocket science to work out why they are not taking risks......

I'd be happy for North to play night games at Prospect. The more the better and the darker the night the better ;)

Maybe clubs income stream might improve if play more than 18 games over the 23 weeks of the home and away season.
To me they are not open for business on 5 weeks of the season,
yet clubs operating costs remain.
What successful trading business in full flight for only about 6 months of the year would entertain that?

Can only presume North requested more Sunday games? Either way, first Saturday home game 5 rounds before the completion of the minor round is bizarre.

Someone in the big house has forgotten,
footy is primarily played every weekend and on Saturdays!
Someone please wake them up.
Could they be asleep at the wheel?
Of course there will be excuses excuses excuses.

Yep. Asked for Sat games and the good 'ole SANFL ignored the request as it conflicted with what Port and Adelaide wanted. To be fair, after all you do have to look after your own.

The Reserves draw is out.
More of the same.
If Port Adelaide or South Adelaide or North Adelaide finish top,
They have to wait 20 days between their last game on 21/8 and their first final on 10/9!
Same as the league with 5 weeks with no footy in 2016.

With 20 days with no footy,
these clubs may need some trial matches in August to keep fit.
Why not just schedule some real footy matches,
not rocket science really,
it is winter and the footy season I think,
someone has forgotten!
