This time of year, we usually start to see the players not participating in finals announce their retirement at seasons' end...
In this instance, Sturt players Michael Coad and Matthew Duldig have announced they are hanging up the boots...
http://www.sanfl.com.au/news/sanfl_news/3125/Congratulations to these two boys on pretty good careers in the SANFL over their repsective journeys...

Two great contributors to the Blues over the years. Played huge roles in our achievements in the past few seasons in making finals.
Two big losses to the Blues. They will both be sorely missed.

Hmmm, that's what you looked like when Mickan was coaching you.
Just as well you got rid of him, eh?

Coad great player. Duldig is one player who annoyed the "beejesus" out of me because he always seemed to save his best for when he played against North.
Wish them both the best.

Is Chris Schmidt looking to retire from Westies at the end of this season???

I was saying the same thing about Duldig on another thread. Always seemed to get a hatful against North

Coad has been a great player, although I think the signs have certainly been there this season that calling time on a fine career is/was the right move.
Similarly to North fans, I can remember Duldig booting a few against the Legs when he was at the Bay.
Both been great servants of the competition, wish them both the best in their next chapter.

West Adelaide player James Ezard has retired from the Bloods...
http://westadelaidefc.com.au/jimmy-ezard-retires/Club veteran James Ezard has decided to hang up his boots due to a reoccurring shoulder injury that has prevented him from returning to form throughout the 2015 season.
The Victorian-born midfielder and Magarey Medallist, who has played 156 League games here at the club will play his last game wearing the red and black guernsey this Saturday for the West Adelaide Reserves. The game starts at 11:25am.
Jimmy came to the club after being picked up by Port Adelaide in the 2004 AFL Draft, where injuries yet again held him back from securing a spot in the senior side. He played four games in the AFL side before settling in the SANFL and making West Adelaide his home.
Jimmy is a hugely respected leader both on and off the field here at the Bloods, and epitomizes what it means to be a professional athlete and team player.
We thank you Jimmy for all you have contributed to the club, and hope you all the best for the future.
At his peak, he was a very good footballer for the West Adelide FC. Well done to James and good luck to him in retirement...

Very few AFL draftees stuck around at their SANFL club after being cut at the highest level. But with 11 disposals in an inexperienced West Reserves team probably indicates he is struggling to get on the Park...
