Garry Hocking is going to remain with the Power but will be stepping down as Magpies coach in the SANFL.

KEN Hinkley’s coaching panel at Port Adelaide is to change again, but this time to his agenda.

The most significant moves will be:

GARRY HOCKING ending his rule with the SANFL Magpies to concentrate on AFL duties at the Power. This is in line with his appointment with the Magpies originally set as a two-year deal.

TYSON EDWARDS stepping away from the Power forwards brief. His options extend beyond Alberton, where he could remain as a development coach. He already is being attached to the Gold Coast, where senior coach Rodney Eade has been guaranteed an expanded football program with more assistant coaches.

NATHAN BASSETT, the Norwood SANFL premiership coach and former Crows defender, advancing his AFL coaching apprenticeship by moving to Alberton from Essendon where he is working with the Bombers’ forwards.

Cant see that happening. Would be a demotion going from an assistant at an AFL club back to a SANFL club. He still has his sights on coaching a AFL side one day
