GLENELG
Glenelg has been strengthened by the return of star midfielder Sam Lonergan for its clash with Norwood at Gliderol Stadium on Sunday.
Lonergan, who has been battling a groin ailment for a fortnight, has been joined in the side by fellow senior player Warrick McGinty, who last played at league level against the Redlegs in Round 5.
Livewire forward Willie Rioli and small midfielder Dylan McNeil are also included in the 23-man squad, the latter poised to play his first league match of the season.
‘’Dylan will add to our work around the stoppages as he’s been good at the clearances for the past few weeks in the Reserves,’’ Glenelg football manager Paul Sandercock said of McNeil, who has battled a finger injury this year.
Vice-captain Craig Pitt (knee) and utility Chris Curran (hamstring) couldn’t be considered due to injury.
Key backman Pat McCarthy will play his first match of the year after shrugging off a groin complaint.

Wingman Zac Richards (186cm and 80kg) has again been named in coach Ben Warren’s squad but must survive the cut if he is to make his league debut against the Tigers.

Good ins for Norwood and should be too good. Glenelg will be competitive but Norwood by 41 in the end.

Kicked the first 2 of the 2nd quarter and the Bays have replied with the last 5, looking at a big half time deficit

1/2 Time
Glenelg 10.6.66
Norwood 5.4.34
Cant get our hands on the ball, Bays have really shut us down and their pressure has been great. Far too many passengers in the first half for us

Getting smashed - 206 to 124 disposals.

Several injuries not helping.

The legs need to bring Ramrod on, I'm sure he would win it for the legs.

32 down at the last break, not playing good enough to get it done. Going to be one of those shockers we dish up every once in awhile

Lost by 9 points.
Entertaining game but not good enough. Benny needs to flog them on the track this week, simply unacceptable
