Reserves only fixture hence the time.

Port wont have the luxury of 18 AFL players like last week. Only got 17. Poor loves.

North were abused over the line last week and can not be allowed to win given their ammo status wit the worlds ugliest man.

My tip: If twenty North supporters turn up it will double the average IQ at the ground.

We all know that North have easily the best record of any opponent at Alberton. In fact in the last 50 years it is almost a 50/50 result for North and Port at Alberton.

North did win against the odds there last year, but it was later in the year when the Power had more injuries.

I just hope we don't have to come from behind like we did against the Cows at Prospect last Saturday.

I don't think I could go through that again.

Re; statement above - overall win:loss Port v Eagles is 35:34 favouring Port - don't have records in front of me but wins at Alberton not uncommon for Eagles over past 20 years. Having said that, go North!

North Adelaide V Port Adelaide

North League Squad:

FF: Alex Spina, Darren Shillabeer, Michael McMahon
HF: Daniel Kulikowski, Lewis Johnston, Toby Schulz,
CE: Leigh Ryswyk, Jay Shannon, Marlon Motlop,
HB: Mitch Clisby, Todd Miles, Rhys O'Keeffe
FB: Joe Anderson, Will Dalwood, Michael Clinch

Ruck - James Craig, Jesse O'Brien, Max Thring

Interchange - Heath Caldwell, Josh Gregg, Alan Obst, Andy Read, George Thring

In - Joe Anderson, Michael Clinch, Alan Obst

Out - Alek Kangur

You would think G. Thring a cert and Obst to play off bench re tall and Ruck coverage. I know that coach is looking to use him down back this season especially when the other KPP in Mitchell and Grove get on the park. Barns and Curnow also looking at that role too. So good to see depth of big blokes at chook land when they all get on the park soon.

PORT
Port Adelaide has lost four in-form players to AFL duty in the lead up to its match with North at Alberton Oval on Saturday.
The Magpies, who started their season with an eye-catching 66-point thumping of South last Friday night, are set to be without Power-listed quartet Nathan Krakouer, Brendon Ah Chee, Aaron Young and Kane Mitchell against the Roosters.
Power rookie Krakouer has been upgraded to the senior list, while Ah Chee, Young and Mitchell all provide plenty of leg speed at elite level.
Ruckman Jarrad Redden returns to the line-up after playing against Sydney last Saturday night while Paul Stewart’s presence on a wing looms as a dangerous match-up for North coach Ken McGregor.
Goalsneak Jake Neade has also been dropped from AFL level while Robbie Young, Ben Sawford and Luke Wilson, who has returned to the club from Norwood, have been named on the extended interchange bench.

League
F: Colquhoun, Butcher, Byrne-Jones

R: Harvey, Moore, S. Gray
INT: Sawford, Wilson, Ross, Young, Neade

We went through this exercise last year. North have won 33 times at Alberton, Norwood is next with 21. I am 60 years of age and have seen North win at Alberton 22 times. Given that Port didn't play at Alberton in 1974 through to 1976 and North and Port didn't play there in 1989, I suggest it is somewhere along the lines of 24:22 Port's way at Alberton in the last 50 years.

Of course that means nothing on Saturday other than for some reason Alberton doesn't hold the bogey to North that it does to other clubs. Is it because North don't have to pass the Cheltenham Cemetery :D or does the playing surface suit North's traditional fast running, long kicking high marking style or is it just one of those quirks, because North have a similar good record against Norwood at Norwood, but in both Port's and Norwood's case they do well at Prospect.

And Hlocking will be running around telling North supporters to look at the scoreboard or does he save that for trial games?

Didn't think Port were allowed players that had been on another state teams list within two seasons .. Regardless, hope Luke Wilson goes alright.

Too early for North. I think we will make a fist of it but fear Port will be too strong and run out winners by around 5 goals. Hope I'm wrong

There is no rules for port power reserves anymore.

Edited for accuracy.

They also added a player that was on an AFL list last year too.
