No Alleway no Glenelg.

Mind you Centrals have done bugger all lately.

My tip: Centurion will outdrink the snouts.

They were the only undefeated team throughout the trial game period ;)

GLENELG
Glenelg has called up emerging forward Josh Scott to help fill the void of Clint Alleway for Friday night’s clash with Central at Gliderol Stadium.
With Alleway serving a one-match ban for tripping Sturt’s James Battersby last Saturday, Scott is one of five inclusions for the Tigers as they search for their first win of the season.
Although named at centre-half back, Scott (193cm and 85kg) is likely to spend lengthy periods in attack as the Bays attempt to kick a winning score against the Bulldogs.
Midfielder Dylan McNeil, who chalked up 27 disposals and nine clearances in the Reserves last week, has been named on the extended interchange bench with fellow inclusions Chris Curran and Bryce Woolard (178cm and 75kg), who could make his league debut.
Goalsneak Darcy Bailey has had his consistency in the Reserves rewarded after being named at half-forward.
Utility Max Proud will miss 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist while forward Josh Trembath was sent back to the seconds.

League
F: Milera, Miller, Johansen
HF: Bailey, McGinty, Hender
C: Joseph, Bradley, Rioli
HB: Howard, Scott, C. Pitt
B: Jacky, Galley, Agnew

R: Button, Snook, Lonergan
INT: Curran, Earl, Woolard, McNeil, Nason
IN: Curran, Bailey, McNeil, Woolard, Scott
OUT: Alleway (suspended), Proud (wrist), Trembath

Reserves
Laba, Trembath, Hayes, T. Redden, J. Redden, Hinge, McFarlane, McIntyre, Raikiwasa, Gill, Woodall, Scharenberg, Tapp, Carter, Jolly, Spriggs, Hill, Saunders, Donkersley, Nicholson, Kangur.

CENTRAL
Central District has named a settled line-up to tackle Glenelg at Gliderol Stadium on Friday night.
Despite losing to Norwood in Round 2, the Bulldogs have added just two players – Connor McLean and Jackson O’Brien – to their extended interchange bench.
McLean, a member of last year’s SA Under-18 squad, is a promising key forward (193cm and 91kg) who is yet to make his league debut.
O’Brien (175cm and 74kg) is a mature age utility who provides depth for the Bulldogs’ midfield rotation.
Co-captain Paul Thomas, named to start in the centre square, will play his 250th league match for the Bulldogs.

League
F: Jenner, Retzlaff, Kemp
HF: Edmead, Goodrem, Milera
C: Jansen, J. Schiller, Stevens
HB: Habel, Collier, Barmby
B: Prior, Stephenson, Hanna

R: Mabon, Hoskin, Thomas
INT: Gillbee, McLean, O’Brien, Potter, T. Schiller
IN: McLean, O’Brien

Reserves
Banks, Claughton, Costanzo, Cullen, Dew, Furnell, Gillard, Griffiths, Hamon, Haydon, Hentschke, Hill, Lowke, McConnell, McKenzie, Milne, Olsson, Pettit, Presbury, Traynor, Weaver.

Hard to see how the Bays can replace Alleway, so the Dogs for my tips. Should the wet weather really sink in it could play to the Bays favour though. Dogs by 8 points after a tough scrap.

Yep. Bays to win at home. May give the 49 goals record a shake.

Expect a couple of late changes, at least, for the Dogs, with Retzlaff and Goodrem likely to not be playing tonight...

Means that State Under 18's player Connor McLean is likely to get his League debut for the Bulldogs this evening...

What's the go there, BP?
That makes us fairly shaky, for mine.

Good luck to Connor McLean (no relation) and Thommo in their very different milestone games.

Also, Alleway suspended again. Where does that leave him game wise?

Haven't been too far away, one bad quarter has cost us in the first two weeks.
I think we're a big chance tonight.

This game, an early season night match at the Bay, cost us dearly last season.

Broken bone in the hand for Retzlaff and not sure on Goodrem, just hearing he'll be out...

On Alleway, not sure on the exact figure but he would be pushing close to a dozen games, for mine...

Retzlaff a big out kicking 4 of a small total last week. Stevens who looks promising also an out and combined with Goodrem depletes what was an ok first up game list despite the loss. Guys like Habel, Potter and Edmead and with the timely inclusion of Obrien can make the most of the conditions. I would like to see Habel play further forward - very skillful and composed with pace and must make this a break out year. Roy likes him breaking the lines but we need another option for goal.
Dogs by 12 pts.
