Nope, all my plans are in place to return home from Melbourne in time for the Grand Final on Sunday.

Big weekend for Port Adelaide supporters, preliminary final and Grand Final in one weekend!

So you're preparing for 2 losses in 1 weekend are you? lol

I would think 30-35,000 would be around the mark.

You would think that 40K isnt that far out of the questions considering the crowd was 36K at last year's GF between Norwood and North. The Magpies/Power fans will be there in droves, well those that arent still in Melbourne.

I would think that some neutral supporters havent gotten their panties in a twist about the AFL v SANFL stuff and will be going to see a really good game of footy.

By "panties in a twist" I assume you mean some neutral SANFL supporters who don't want to accept the bastardisation of their league. Maybe you are happy and with it and that's up to you. Just be happy for yourself and enjoy your day against the Port Adelaide AFL reserves.

Will be interesting for Aaron Young and jarman impey.
Port power win Saturday they can play, they lose Saturday they can't play.
Be a weird weekend

No, both teams being involved on the same weekend means its open slather, like any other minor round game.

Yep pretty sure Footywise is correct there. Same as if the Power had lost to Freo last week, it would not have altered eligibility for last Sunday's prelim against South. If the Power are playing Power listed players are all eligible on that same weekend.

Colquhoun and Renouf with knee injuries are the only ones I can think of, Butcher?

Heath did his knee the same time as Renouf .. Stevenson missed a few through injury too, but you are right, they have had an excellent run.

Hartlett, Polec, Monfries, Boak and White all mised 1-2 games with ankles.

Monfries missed 3-4 with a hamstring. Moore missed 4-5 with a collar bone.

Trengove missed 5 with his ankle. Carlile missed 3 with a hamstring.

Colquhoun, Redden and Renouf all missed the year with knees.

Heath missed 11 weeks with a LARS reconstruction.

Other than that, we've had a good run with injury....

You're not seriously questioning how good a run with injury you've had? You didn't lose any first choice players for a season, you didn't lose too many multiple first choices at the same time, and your SANFL and AFL guns have had a brilliant trot.

Not too many soft tissue injuries among that list either, Burgo continues to leave a positive mark on the establishment.

That is a great run with injuries over a season for 40 odd players. Surely you jest

I'm not happy with the Crows and Power coming into the SANFL but that’s not going to stop me from attending games and supporting Norwood. It'll be a great day for me, and others, when Warren and McGuinness are holding up the Trophy again

I disagree, to some extent.

Colquhoun is in our best 22, he was part of last years finals sides and would have held Impey out if fit at the start of the year. I also think we would have played Redden in our best 22 as an extra tall forward / ruckman for much of the year, so I think two of our best 22 missed the year.

Trengove and Carlile went down and we won 3 of 8 on the back of their absence.

So we had 4 first choice players missing for several weeks at once, along with White and Monfries with hamstrings/groins.

So from rounds 15-20 we had up to 6 first choice players missing.

Thats (nearly) a 1/4 of the year with (nearly) a 1/4 of your first choice missing.

Our run hasn't been horrific, I'll grant you that, but it hasn't been perfect.

Oh, and Hitchcock missed some games, we missed him.

Granted the Trengove injury caused problems for the Power, and I agree that Redden would have been useful during that period, but I don't think he's in your best 22 .. You wouldn't replace Lobbe or Trengove with him. Gray, Wingard, Wines, Hartlett, Ebert, Schultz, Lobbe, Jonas, Hombsch would have missed very few with injury I'd suggest. Compare your run at your top grade with that of someone like Hawthorn and there's been a massive difference.

Anyway, it's all meant to be discussion about this week's game and on that front, touch wood, we've had a pretty good run with injuries too, so no excuses if we get beat. Both teams would think their best is good enough and more than likely one will deliver and we'll find out.

Congratulations to 2014 SANFL Premiers Norwood.

As for Sunday's exhibition against an AFL reserves team, would like to see the reserves team win, just to underline to everyone what a farce the competition has become.

As long as enough people are offended and outraged, there remains a glimmer of hope that somewhere down the track, normal service will be resumed.

just watched the press conference and someone asked about changes if power lose saturday night, and from what I heard was that impey and young would not be able to play because hocking they would have to make changes I could have miss interpreted this but that's what it sounded like.
