Not a big name player, but Sam Heinjus from the Eagles has retired, injuries have caught up with him.

News to me on the 'officially confirmed' front. It's just that it's confirmed he came within an inch of retiring at the end of last year before deciding to go on, and it seems to be broadly accepted that this is very likely to be his last year.

Yep, almost a certainty to lose Muff. Can't replace someone like that with an individual, will take a collective effort.

Well done to MacLeay and Heinjus for sticking at it longer than many others have.
Never could understand why we kept playing Heinjus as a ruckman and not try to develop him into a key forward or back, given he wasn't overly tall.

KMac ain't gone yet but yes it appears likely.
Prowling Panther that is a very respectful post :)
Maybe we will have Georgiou back though after wasting a year with the worst club in AFL history. I would not want my budgie playing there.

KMac is gone mate. He wants his kid and any future offspring to grow up in Melbourne. One reaosn they stayed after last season was due to a lack of work opportunities for his wife back in Melbourne. It'll be sad to see him leave since he's done such a great job at Norwood, hopefully we can farewell him in style with another flag.

Andrew Hooper is a definite out, returning to Victoria as you have correctly indicated.

So Mitch is playing for the Bays in 2015, then? Just returned home to Tassie for a holiday?

Confirmed, Thorp definitely gone ...
