The Doggies kept their faint finals hopes alive with an important win against the Bloods, while the Eagles probably had their best win of the year against a Norwood side that shut-up-shop after the main break...

Why won't Grocke play ?

I think Centrals might just get up here.

No Grocke or Boyd will make a little less of a spectacle.

Probably Heinjus for Grocke and Hall for Boyd. Goldsworthy named 2nd best in the Reserves, hopefully that is enough for him to get picked in the league.

Any word on how Rowntree went in his comeback game last week? Fingers crossed he can get a couple of league games in before finals.

Haven't beaten Central at Elizabeth for ages. Reckon Central will be fired up at the start, important the Eagles get off to a good start.

I don't rate Heinjus at all but I suppose he will have to come in by default if Grocke doesn't come up, such is our lack of ruck depth.

Agree that Goldsworthy must come back into the side. He is vastly superior player to Schwarz and Sinor even if he is only playing at 70%. He will also kick 1-2 goals every game.

Rowntree only played half a game in the reserves and came off complaining about leg pain. On the radio Godden said this is unlikely to be serious and more to do with such a long time out of hte game. He might miss a game but expect him to be back shortly. We need him back playing well to keep the pressure on Lewis and ensure he keeps playing well as I reckon they similar types of players. Not sure whether we can have both in the team, particularly given Powell is there as well.

Great captains game from thomo and Rhino outstanding. Josh Glenn can kick bloody well and has a turn of speed. I know he is going to get recruited, As a 20 year old he will probably spend most of next year in their b's proving himself against fu**ing us. Really starting to doubt my allegiance to a competition when you lament that type of thought as your team perseveres.

Willow got best, josh Glenn 2nd Sam Hanna coaches award.

Willows tackle and a Scotty dutschke marking contest were match winning.

21 frees to 11. Joke. Not a sore loser, because we won. Can't say it was because we were second to the ball.

Same script
Same sh@t
Different year
The past 11 or so losses at Eliz have pretty much all involved a poor start and playing catch up from there on and losing by 15-30 points (apart from the occasional blowout). Apparently we are recalcitrant learners!!
Appleton played his best game for the club.
Team unbalanced with Ainger in ruck.
Double chance not deserved on that effort.
