Rolfe allegedly heard to be laughing/bragging post match about his gutless hit on Joseph 50m behind play.
Just hope there is footage of it so the sniping prick can go for at least 6 weeks.

Nothing "cool" about it blueandwhite. That response surprises me from you.

Clearly saw the Alleway incident..basically smashed Luke Durdin with an elbow to the jaw in a driveby... the tribunal judgement in my humble opinion was appropriate. Hows Alleways progressive total going..? must be getting up there by now..?

Like many others apparently, .........I did not see the incident with Joseph...perhaps someone who actually saw it can enlighten us...?

Alleway was an idiot, no denying that, but how can Rolfe not get questioned?

Just go to 4:43 and watch from there.

That's probably why he got off, umpire didn't see it and video shows stuff all.

Fair enough. I would suggest, looking at the slow-mo, that Rolfe should have at least been questioned.

Durdin knew the hit was coming from Alleway, in fact, he went to him - just lost. Aaron Joseph had no idea what was coming, fair way off the ball, was lifted off the ground, nobody else around apart from a flying Peter Rolfe landing back on his feet winding the wing back in - didn't know he was an F1-11, but there you go. Purely an assumption that Aaron Joseph got hit, I guess.

I can only see the result of the hit on the video, no lead up or initial contact.
Alleways was a thug act. Probably frustrated at being in such a shit side. He should have got used to it in the Healey years at North!

Like I said, fair enough.

Anyway, the tribunal can sort it out now:

http://www.sanfl.com.au/news/sanfl_news/2543/

"The SANFL Tribunal will sit on Tuesday night to hear an incident involving South Adelaide’s Peter Rolfe and Glenelg’s Aaron Joseph from Sunday’s game at Gliderol Stadium.

Joseph, who had to be stretchered from the field after the fourth-quarter incident, was diagnosed with concussion and took no further part in the match.

There was no conclusive vision of the incident, however, based on the evidence submitted by the Glenelg Football Club, the matter has been referred to the SANFL Tribunal for a hearing at 5.45pm on Tuesday."

Did anyone notice at the game the quality of the turf? Apparently the contractor who looks after the complex had a mishap with their chemical spraying and have sprayed out round up instead of a fungicide or fertiliser. I believe they sprayed out a good portion of the oval before they realised their error.

Looked no worse on tv than a normal June surface for Glenelg Oval.

Yes surface decidedly ordinary, wouldnt want a couple of inches of rain on it thats for sure...

There always has been a bit of angst between South and Glenelg over the years...both on the field and off of it..There were a few unsavoury incidents on Sunday, and the tribunal dealt with them fairly in my opinion, given the evidence available.
For Glenelg to effectively lay a charge against one of our players. who was not initially cited by the tribunal, they must have new evidence,ie "a smoking gun"...this will only add a bit more spice to the next time these two teams meet.
