A couple look to Stephens, more than that look around pretty non-plussed and it isn't until "Bling" , from about the furthest vantage point comes in, does any argy bargy take place.

FWIW, I think he'll get 3-4 weeks.

Slattery bump at 27:20. Interesting no Sturt players remonstrated until well after the event.

Did you want them to do it before ?

He is in trouble , lining up players like that is now a no no. Picked him off big time.

There is also an almost 50/50 split in this thread of actual game discussion and AFL/SANFL debate.

Well done to all involved! =D>

Ummm, I don't think that's possible.....more the fact many of them very close by didn't seem to think too much of it.

I'm more surprised by that than anything else.

The Magpies have gone from a decade of mediocrity to utter dominance of the competition in the space of a few months. The change in coach from Kenny to Buddha has obviously had an extraordinary effect and i should take my hat off to them.....

Blimey Ronnie, Mickey Mouse could coach Port to the flag this year.

I thought it was about 50/50 split of actual game discussion and Slattery's "blind side bump"

I'm not so sure. Can't see whether he kept his elbow down or not, but if he did then it's straight hip and shoulder and I'm OK with it.

If he raised the elbow then he deserves to be penalised.

Obviously hope that no serious injury was caused though.

Not good. I know I'm old fashioned and the game has changed, but the difference used to be whether it was the shoulder or elbow that made impact.

Assuming contact was made directly to the head to cause the broken jaw then he will get games.

Yeh, check the footage dedja (about 27:27 into the highlights package), it was all shoulder, straight to the jaw. From about 27:23, he lined him up and at 27:27 he got him.

Can't line people up like that these days! No intent to tackle at all, clear bump to the head and the medical report will not help him. As many around me, the players would have been watching the ball as he got hit just after he got rid of it. The players on the bench/wing saw it and remonstrated.....but unlike years past there isnt much remonstrating you can do these days with all the cameras!

3-4 weeks min
