The top of the table and undefeated Panthers are taking all before them and will be chock full of confidence ahead of this home clash against the Eagles, who had a hard fought, close victory over the Double Blues...

This game is probably the Match of the Round and will mark the first that Michael Wundke returns to his former stomping ground. It will be the battle of the full forwards in this one, so hopefully it will be an entertaining shoot out...

South v Eagles

Sunday, May 4th

Alan Hickinbotham Oval, Noarlunga

Reserves @ 11:25am

League @ 2:10pm

Broadcast Details - 1197am RPH Adelaide from 2:00pm

Wundke, Ainger, Boyd. Hopefully a decent contingent of South supporters will be on hand to welcome the 3 of them. ;)

Looking forward to the match. For the first time since 06 there seems to be some genuine optimism around the club, with results to match.

Hopefully Crabb and Giddings to return to the backlines. Rolfe to make his return perhaps.

Eagles have a terrific record at Hickinbotham and will go there with confidence. South look much grittier and purposeful than in recent years and it should be a top game. Record crowd v Eags @ Hickinbotham Phil?

I'm not Phil, but it's 3,042, Rd 5 2010. I doubt it for Sunday, more like 2000. It's also the 100th match for Matthew Goldsworthy - who has kicked some important goals during that time.

Really despise the other mob and would love nothing more than beating them on Sunday.

South should get a few players back this week.

Hope to see a big crowd at Noarlunga and more & more supporters get around the club!

I just don't know how ya do it? Don't call me Shirley, but surely you still want the Eagles to win? Even a little bit.

Even if South voted yes, there'd be absolutely no way in the world I would contemplate following any other side. I love my club too much.

I guess you can look at it two ways.

These blokes all chose to leave either to seek greater opportunities elsewhere, or they simply wanted to leave South Adelaide. South fans might want to consider the latter and why.Either way, can you blame them?

Should be a good game with the Eagles best placed I would think to unrest the league leaders. Good forward line those Eagles have.

WWT by 22 points.

Think a few of these boys left for bigger pay packets that's there choice but doesn't mean we will be welcoming them back with open arms!

yeah well...

I could tell you a whole lot of reasons why South fans would be well within their rights to spew venom and vitriol at 2 out of 3 of these clowns. and I assure you they are very, very valid reasons.

I'll take a great bit of pride out of the weekends game if we can take the W away from Noarlunga. Awful lot of haters of Ainger, Boyd and Wundke out there. But the question has to be asked - why did they leave. Look after your own backyard and maybe your players will want to stay and play for your club. Don't blame the Eagles because they wanted to leave.
