Well - that would be the reason for it there - the SANFL site is for the footy, and the function area, and catering and whatnot.

I think it'll be on the 28th March.

Let's hope the plastic seats absorb sound better than the aluminium ones. The sound quality at the last U2 show there was appalling.

Here's a way to keep this thread relevant...hands up if you remember who Nobo's alter-ego MacPhisto called from onstage at the last U2 gig in Adelaide.

..and Cornesy has since admitted that he new the call was coming, even theough U2 "pretended" it was a surprise.

PS Great Gig!

PPS I presume this is general admission, why are the queues 100 people long in the city?

The last one didnt sell out, IIRC, and they were more popular then then now.

The band has sold out every show on this tour...tickest for adelaide gis almost sold out...Sydney sold it's 70'000 tickets in minutes this morning (see ninemsn) and Melbourne in an hour. gen admin seats are on the ground at aami or there is set seating in the outer. They are much bigger now that they were in 1993. It is going to be an awesome concert.

I thought that was common knowledge at the time. And his "fee" for participating in the phone call was an aussie rules football signed by U2.

Oops, so much for my call re plenty of time to buy tickets!

But the 1993 U2 was (is) WAY bigger in the music market then the 2005.

The first 4 or 5 years of the 90's were dominated by U2.

I see what you are saying Borat however, outside Australia U2 is huge...even bigger than 93...In Europe, In the USA in Ireland. This album hasn't had the impact the others have had in the Australian Chart.

Thanks Cooper, but I've got myself a ticket now so won't have to sit and re-dial for another couple of hours ... I heard that they only put half of the tickets on sale yesterday, but that the telephone/internet logjam was caused by the Vic tickets going on sale at the same time??

Anyways, I'm sorted and at peace with the world! :D

Not exactly sure mate, all I know at this stage is it's Row E in the reserved seating area somewhere I think off to the side, which hopefully will at least be closer to a bar! :D

Yourself mate?
