obviously south have had a better year then last and westies have dropped off but i didnt realise that there is a pretty even split in games won and lost with these 2.
would love westies to get up and have a win, i think they deserve to this week.

Can West avoid the wooden spoon? I hope so (for Sturt's sake), but I reakon South to win easily to finish off an excellent record at Noarlunga this year.

We're not worst, says Piasente

Article from: The Advertiser
WEST Adelaide captain David Piasente saw something which rankled him at The Parade on Saturday.
As his team-mates walked off victorious for only the second occasion this season, Norwood supporters got their own back by waving wooden spoons at the Bloods.
Instead of voicing his discontent - the injured Piasente was a member of the crowd - he has steeled himself to make the Redlegs fans realise they had jumped the gun.
Back in the Bloods' squad of 23 for tomorrow's game against South Adelaide at Noarlunga, the skipper's goal is crystal clear.
"I saw a few Norwood fans chucking the wooden spoon when Westies walked in after the game," Piasente, who has overcome a hamstring strain, recalled.
"I looked at the ladder and thought all we've got to do is win one more game and there's two games to go and two good opportunities to win. And we always play well at Noarlunga, so I'm excited about Saturday."
If the Bloods can cause an upset against the finals-hungry Panthers, Piasente said handing the dreaded spoon to Sturt would be a "great relief." "We'd love to get off the bottom. I don't think we're the worst side in the competition, that's for sure," Piasente said. "If Saturday works out well for us we'd be rapt but Sturt has to lose as well."
Losing AFL-listed pair Jason Porplyzia (Crows) and Peter Walsh (Power) could hurt West but it showed against Norwood it can share the load.
Ball-magnet Ben Haynes, Mark Miller and Daniel Proud also come into West's team. South - which will offer free carparking at Noarlunga before midday - is without Rhys Archard (wedding), Jason Torney (Crows) Brett King (concussion). Matthew Sinkunas, Captain Clay Sampson, Dale Ellis, Sam Elliott and Leigh Kruger come in.

IF West Adelaide can reproduce the form from last week at the Parade, South Adelaide will not beat them. However, it's a giant IF. I'm not sure West can produce a game like that 2 weeks in a row, and Noarlunga makes it all that more difficult.
