Postby Sinbad » Tue Nov 22, 2005 9:21 am

From footygoss.com:

Peel are set to lose key forward Kingsley Walker to the SANFL.

Walker has agreed to play with North Adelaide in 2005. Peel are currently in the process of arranging a clearance to the SANFL club for Walker.

This will be an interesting north team to see when its all finished. You would have to say they would be equal favourites with the dogs at this stage with all the players they have got comming in. Adding to the fact that they had a reasonable team already.

For what it's worth, I think that North are now a year further away from a flag. With all these recruits lining up at North, it's going to take some time for them to gel as a team- a team of champions doesn't beat a champion team. I'm also liking the fact I got on Port Magpies @ 16's with Bayman :P

You guys remember when a WAFL team took all its players, and had nobody in the centre square to contest the bounce, super flood was on that day. No my question is was it Peel???

Yes it was Peel. That tactic was the brainchild of one Gary "Whiskas" Hocking. Great positive step for football that one

Not sure how it relates to Kingsley Walker though other than the fact that he plays/played for Peel?

Have heard from a few places that Centrals and West Adelaide have been looking at a few players from the WAFL, in particular South Freo Premiership players, considered as high profile WAFL players.

North have announced their final recruit for the year, little known Indonesian player Michelle Leslie. Photographed in her new North strip, Michelle was delighted at the press conference, telling them "I have been hoping for this chance my whole life. I just want the opportunity to prove myself. Im in ecstasy". Rumours of a $600,000 transfer fee were quashed by North Officials, stating that an interstate car company has covered the transfer fee. Members of Michelle's football team, were sad to lose her, facing the prospects of 20-25 years before being able apply for their own transfers. Image
