Paringa Primary School (Glenelg Zone), or Our Lady of the Visitation (Port Zone) ?

My sons side played against Paringa in Rd 1 of the Premiers cup, and against OLV earlier this year in the Westfield lightening carnival @ Max Bashier reserve, both sides were very good teams, it should have been a good game of School footy.

Gay Bays.
I bumped into some North kids in the Members, & I asked them how they went, & they said they only just lost.

What age group is that, is that the mini league kids?
Was both the U15s metro and Premiers cup on last night or is someone mixed up?

I dont, Ian's talking about a comp for primary school age kids which would be closer to U13s.

Different. Friday's game was between North U15s and Glenelg U15s.

I thought Premiers Cup was for year 7s?
Is it still that ?

My primary school won the Premiers Cup two years in a row (88/89)- quite rare! I played in the second.

Dissident- Was that the Mark Mitchell Shield you are talking about?

Our School won the "small schools" (<500 students by definition I reakon) in 1987.

Mighty O'Sullivan Beach Primary School, we knocked off* Pulteney Grammar in the final..

MatteeG - not sure, it sounds familiar. It was The Premiers Cup though not sure about the other part.

Ours was the Mighty Modbury West Primary School. In '89 we beat Grange HS - was a great game.
We even made a crepe paper banner to run through.

(Sounds lame - but was great at the time)

Premiers cup is year 6/7 footy. The final was originally supposed to be before the Collingwood/Power game, but apparentley it's been moved to a later date.

OLV are the current champs, and in the GF again this year.

Very talented, with quite a few big boys for year 6/7's, gave our boys a flogging in Rd 1 of the cup, but apparentley no one else has got any closer to them in the Glenelg zone this year.

  Our kids played a side from Ports (very close to Port) zone at a lightening carnival earlier this year, a couple of 6"+ players, someone even mentioned that some of them probably drove to the game :? , I wouldn't have been suprised to see a couple of them having a smoke and a beer after the game
