BROADCAST ALLOCATION:

ROUND 11:
- Sat 13/6 – Glenelg v West @ Gliderol (LifeFM)
- Sat 13/6 – North v Sturt @ Prospect (ABC TV / 891 ABC Adelaide)
- Sat 13/6 – South v Norwood @ Hickinbotham (RPH)

ROUND 12:
- Fri (N) 19/6 – Sturt v Glenelg @ Adelaide Oval (RPH)
- Sat 20/6 – Port v Norwood @ Alberton (ABC TV / RPH)

The next allocation will come out soon, which will probably cover Rounds 12 - 16, which PhilH will post for all to see again...

I must apologise panther as I used to post the details weekly after receiving emails from Phil and then the SANFL but I dont get anything sent to me from either of them these days so just assumed they'd stopped producing them.

I was disappointed that LIFE FM decided to play music instead of covering a Saturday afternoon game of SANFL last weekend....why would they do that? the beginning of the end?

Yeh, that surprised me too. I ended up recording a heap of music! Was looking forward to a few beers and Saturday arvo' footy.
I guess they aren't allowed to broadcast two games of footy in one week?

I think you'll find that is the reason m_t_79

I'm sure when PhilH stumbles accross this thread, he will shed some more light on the matter...

What if it is a split round, with two matches on one weekend and two on the next?

I don't think that happens in the SANFL, does it ???

If that were to be the case then, 5RPH would cover on game, LifeFM the other and then the same thing the following weekend.

With the AFL having a split round this weekend, you will notice that 891 ABC Radio are covering a couple of games over the next few weekends.

How the hell did Port v Norwood get on TV ahead of North v Central.
Did they have to put their submission in for a game last century?
They cant blame cost cutting for the trip to Elizabeth as their radio is covering it. Mind you I'm no mechanic and wouldn't know how much a new set of hub caps for an OB van would be worth. ;)

I would suggest ( and I do this with some trepidation ) that this is the first time that the Magpies have had the Satruday afternoon game and been telecast.

I guess they like give all fans the chance to see thier teams on TV, but agreed, North V Dogs will be a much better match.

Not enjoying Magpie games too much this year...

I know Roger Wills will be one of them for sure, I have spoken to him at a few SANFL games this season and he has been looking forward to it for a while now...

I'm not sure if Peter Walsh will be involved in anyway either and I think from memory Rod Jamieson was a part of the crew that called the SANFL finals. I guess time will tell come Saturday.

Didn't they get Jarrod Molloy to give special comments some time last season when they did an SANFL game.

Yeah they did when they did the Centrals v West game last year. For a station that only does 1-2 minor round games per year they did a fantastic job, and did their research, unlike 5AA come finals time.

Can confirm that the callers for this weeks ABC Radio game - North v Sturt @ Prospect - will be Roger Wills and Chris Kendall with Stephen Williams on special comments.
