glenelg is now into day 23 since their last game, with the state game and then the bye, we go from that to having to play 3 times in 12 days, who worked that out?

They're the joys of a 9 team competition. If it wasn't Glenelg, it would have been someone else.

Glenelg made it, they requested a Monday game and they requested not to play against the Crows live games.
Just be thankful your club's requests are granted unlike some other/s.
If you think its unfair complain to your club and send a letter of thanks to the SANFL for listening to your club.

PS The draw has imploded.

What does it really matter? Come Grand Final day, the 2 teams who deserve it most will be there .. uneven draw or not.

We just need one team to genuinely implode and it will all be fixed! ;)

They should get me to do the draw from now on, at least make sure that the byes and whoever play whoever spaced out evenly.

Same occurrence in the WAFL, Perth had two weeks off because of the state game followed by a bye. Someone has to draw the short straw.

It never really hurt Centrals leading up to finals and grand finals...except when they come up against quality opposition. Sounds like Glenelg wingeing to me. 8)

The two weeks off (no games) is actually quite good from a player management/conditioning point of view.

Players can get a few days off away from the club - go home to family (country interstate blokes) if needs be and then the next week you can pump some serious conditioning into them without having to worry about programming recovery from the bumps and niggles that occur in a game.

Interesting to note that our June 19 opposition has teh same playing schedule as us from tomorrow until we meet.

Yes both teams will have a tough few weeks with little time for recovery and preperation for the following game, but it can been seen as a challenge or just something to winge about. The only difference is the quality of opposition. ;)

who cares stampy, it didn't hurt central playing 3 games in 7 weeks (or whatever it was) when they went top, blokes with niggles etc can get them cleared up & when the program was given to the clubs to look at glenelg didn't have a problem, why do you my friend ? :? :?

You have to do the draw to create the fixture

Since its such a mess would it be more relevent to call it a brokenture as opposed to a fixture?
