Is there a Power listed player on the move this week?

Could well be someone from Port Magpies to Westies this week.

Matt Lobbe? Nobody else fits the bill.

Perhaps he needs to be introduced to Ryan Willetts before he asks to move...

that is the player i have heard is on the move. Lack of ruck opportunities seems to be the reason. If he is any good he will get a go as a league ruckmen with westies because Moran is the only one we have and he is doing ok for the crows so dont see him coming back to us anytime soon.

I had a chat the other week with Warren Partland who said that Mr Rucci had asked Warren whether it was time for Jon Giles from Centrals to start looking for another SANFL club otherwise risk being delisted by the Power oat the end of the year.

Joffa, as he is known, has only been "dropped" once by Roy Laird and has in recent weeks been performing quite well for the Dogs. I think with Mackenzie and Griffin (when not with the Crows) sometimes it is a risk having the 3rd ruckman with Giles but it seems to have worked most weeks.

I can understand with talk of the other blokes looking ata move to another league club for more opportunity because they are "mini drafted" into the SANFL were as with Giles, he is a Centrals boy through and through and wouldn't want to mive clubs I would suspect.

Id be happy for Lobbe to move clubs. Isnt getting a crack at the Magpies, when he probably should be.

Considering they have had Maric and Mickeljohn together at some stages this year i wouldn't think he would get a game before them and also Batson is playing reserves and he is a capable ruckmen. If he comes to westies then he will get an opportunity in the ruck because we dont have one ruckmen.

Maybe there also could be a Tonkins Medalist joining the Bloods from another SANFL club where he can not get a look in

Lobbe is still a skinny kid who needs to beef up and learn to take an overhead mark. He is not up to League at the moment. And Trengove is only 3 games back from the long term injury list, which means he isn't going anywhere else.

Might be talking about young Flanigan fella. Very unlucky not to be playing reserves at Sturt but cannot get a game currently..

I dont see how anyone, be it the Power or Lobbe himself can complain about him not getting a look in at league level. Micklejohn is ahead of him, Maric is ahead of him, Batson is ahead of him, and what Ive seen of Lobbe so far, he would be lucky to be ahead of Hall. Lobbe is still a long way off the standard required. Not saying that he wont be AFL standard in time, just isnt remotely close to that yet.

So unless the kid is given a go at the highest level possible outside the AFL, how will the kid improve

Is getting smashed by the other ruckman every week the best for his development? Thats what will happen when he comes up against any ruckman with more bulk and/or experience than him, which would be 90% of them
