You're right Cutterman, if only I hadn't found that lost key to the beer shed at Woodville I wouldn't have got stuck into the tonsil varnish and done a stupid thing like starting an IMPLODING thread! :drinkers:

Sorry you Eagles supporters who frequent this site and attend games...it's not you who I'm looking for. The last two times I've been to Woodville your club has had a small number of supporters at the game and we've significantly out numbered you.
It's great that you have developed so many AFL recruits, I don't knock that. You have probably the best suburban ground in the competition, I don' knock that. I knock your stay at home followers...they are missing out on usually a great day out.

These would equal YOUR FANS when your team was struggling only to turn up in recent years ..
I don't see the sense in dredging up the lack of support that WWT has we all know we lack the numbers .We would enjoy more people at our games perhaps this will increase in years to come when our kids have kids etc .
I really dont know the answer .

Understandable when your team is lacking success. The Eagles are not lacking success since their creation.

The only time I can not make games is when the juniors are on at other grounds, this year I will have gone to more Eagles League games then pretty much the 4 years before this year. Plus we haven't been around in the League as Sturt has.

After 8 games the Eagles find themselves at 4-3-1 and 4th on the ladder.
At the beginning of the season there were certainaly mixed opinions from many observers as to how the season would pan out, based on those i doubt many would have thought that they would be sitting 4th at this point. Many people wouldn't have expected wins over Glenelg and North and likewise wouldnt have expected the two results against West this year, so perhaps those cancel each other out and 4th is about where the team is at. Both games at Richmond this year have been there for the taking and weren't and that may be costly come seasons end...but take nothing away from West, they have certainaly come along way in recent times and will more than likely cause other teams plenty of trouble along the way, they may not make the 5 (this year) but they may have a big say in who does.
The last two weeks have shown there are a few deficiencies that need to be worked on, injuries are not a reason for loosing games but loosing key players and replacing them with young guys who are still developing and finding their way is going to be a factor, however this is the only way that these guys will develop and improve, Westies are probably a perfect example of that and the benefits are starting to show.
The guys now get a week off to recover from niggles and attack the next few games prior to the bye which will either set up the season or push the team back into the pack..the challenge is there and it seems the decision makers are going with the blokes they think are up to the task and reputations count for nothing.
Thats my 5 Cents worth...Play on!
