Was it just me or my Sunday Mail but i couldn't find the stats from the Central vs Norwood game anywhere. It's the only reason i buy the Sunday Mail is to look at the stats. Dissapointing if there not printing them anymore.

I noticed that too WHUFC, but no doubtm they will br in the Advertiser tomorrow...
If you can't wait 'til tomorrow, here is the link to the SANFL site that has the stats from the game.
http://www.sanfl.com.au/files/_system/File/PDFs/stats/2009/r6/Norwood_Central_Rd6.pdfIn saying that though, I'm not exactly sure how accurate they are as they had Adam Switala from Centrals not touching the ball at all for the entire day but I can remember about half a dozen disposals from Swooper.

The bastards even printed my son's surname incorrectly and in the wrong age group.
He got BOG in Year 4/5 Panthers and they had him in Year 6/7 with an E missing from his surname!

I just think the Advertiser and Sunday Mail are getting more and more AFL in them by the year. And the SANFL inch by inch is going backwards.

Yeah thanks i definately question their accuaracy, Justin Hardy would feel hard done buy not claiming a single kick or handball despite having 6 marks.

According to the Sunday Mail, a team with 3 premiership points should sit below a team with 2 points on the ladder.

Had to put up with the family listening to Triple M on the way back from the game today. During the news they announced the VFL winners but didn't mention any of the SANFL results...

I reckon during a match last year (likely to have been involving a SA team) Rhett Biglands announced the results on Triple M. But probably only because a SA team was involved that a) he was there and b) they were read out.

Seem to be getting worse and worse. The country scores are shocking. Quarter time scores given as full-time scores, wrong grades being shown as A grade scores, similarly with best players. Classic post in the Hills Central forum, showing Hahndorfs recruit(s) "M Bart, E Mucci".
Surely someone within the paper has some interest in football and can follow the scores and get to know the players week by week. After all most country teams are dominated by the same half a dozen players most weeks.
More and more seemingly syndicated AFL stories. Suppose it cuts costs.

The Advertiser = shitty provincial newspaper...Sunday Mail = just plain shitty...
I only buy The Australian during the week...takes me 5 minutes to read the Tiser but I get The Australian in the morning and i'm still reading it on the train home in the afternoon!!!
If I want SANFL news, I lurk on here and CDFC.info...

I was wondering myself if a section on this site would be good for people to post the scores as they happen so it can all be in the one place. And I can put the "Every scorer in the SANFL" in the same spot. I know Lawrie Colliver has the country footy scores website, so I thought it would be a good idea here. The SANFL website of course does have the scores and that, but it is hard to navigate and for some strange reason you have to join up to myfootyweb just to access them.

Chris McDermott this morning on radio urged everyone to get down to Glenelg today to watch Glenelg v South.
That sort of irresponsible self-indulgent arrogant self-centred "lip-service" coverage is a disgrace (but they get away with it without scrutiny).
No wonder the SANFL is in disarray.
Get your facts right 5AA or get off - it is not that hard to look up a program.

You wouldn't think it possible for the media to find more to crap on about with the AFL, but somehow they manage to do it. Incredible really.

Couple of things... I've complained to the Mail about the misspellings of players but it seems they rely on the spelling and writing from team officials who are delegated to fax the details in. Apparently, those officials might know how to spell the names of their own players but often not the opposition's.
As for Colliver, he lifts the same information from the Mail and Advertiser and all the country newspaper websites and ABC. He basically just piggybacks on everyone else.

I noted an interesting stat - O'Hara has 6 frees for and 0 against.
Umpie's pet
Perhaps he will poll well in the Magarey
