Norwood made a couple of crucial mistakes at the end which gave up goals, that out on the full for example, but were very unlucky that the last minute shot on goal was touched on the line.

How did Centrals steal that win. Justin Harding you legend. Even before his heroic touch on the line with one second left, I thought he was Centrals best player today. Norwood are becoming quite the expert in stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Whilst Centrals did not play great today, they still kicked 16 goals and won what was a very entertaining game, right down to the very good umpiring (considering Rowston and Williams were umpiring, this was a surprise).

Finally, good to see Coopers Stadium enter the 21st century by installing an electronic time clock

Norwood looked a different side with Trotter and Lower on-ball, to add to Gallagher, Massie and Weatherald.

I was surprised Norwood didn't select Juniper last week and he added another dimension to Norwood today.

Was a great game of footy today. Dogs should have been in front by a fair bit at quarter time but missed some relativly easy goals. Legs shooting for goal was awesome and really kept them in it. After quarter time it was all norwood and put loads of pressure on the dogs and caused alot of turnovers. Up until the last 10 mins norwood were home until a couple of mistakes by norwood and some heroics from some dogs players.
Overall a great game and both sides had just cause to win but the dogs were a bit more desperate in the last 10 mins.

A great game of SANFL football witnessed today seeing the Dogs hang on to win by the most slender of margins. A fast paced opening saw 23 goals kicked in the opening half with the 1 point margin in favour of the Dogs at half time, of course the same as the end result. Centrals would be relieved to have hung on for the win after a pretty good start to the game but a pretty lack lusture second half which would be dissapointing for coach Roy Laird.

A late inclusion for Jessie Aish, Jack Juniper was superb for the Redlegs in his league debut kicking 5 goals, with no doubt many Legs fans would be saying that Trevor Hill should have made this move a few weeks ago when the former Fremantle rookie was playing superbly in the reserves. The Norwood faithful would have also seen David Trotter back in the side earlier than expected as a bonus and the former Kangaroo had some good moments.

Yves Sibenaler and Justin Hardy were good for the Dogs in defence while both Scott Dutschke and Jason Mackenzie had a great opening half before probably fading out of the game late. Brad Symes was probably the Dogs best player while both Centrals captains Paul Thomas and Matty Slade were also solid contributors for the victors with the latter playing his best game for the year. Chad O'Sullivan had a great opening half also, kciking 3 goals probably justifying his inclusion into the state squad.

The Redlegs certainly lifted their work rate and intensity around the ball and body and will no doubt be dissapointing with their second consecutive last gasp loss. Coach Trevor Hill will not be satisfied with the final result but pleased with an improved effort from his side over the 4 quarters of the game. Stephen Doyle probably took the honours as the best big man on the ground for the day, while Sam Rowe tried hard at half forward for the Legs.

Looking as though the Legs would hang on to the win late in the final term, a strong mark and goal from Lee Spurr inside the square gave the Dogs a slender 2 point lead before another attack on goal for the home side. Luke Nitschke had an opportunity to kick the winner but a great spoil on the last line of defence by Justin Hardy for Centrals was just enough for the Dogs to hang on for yet another close win at Coopers Stadium.

I can see why Norwood fans have been excited by Juniper he showed some promising signs in his first game of league footy. If he can work on his work off the ball he will become a very handy addition to the Norwood forward line. What a great game to watch today.

Juniper did impress.
I thought the first half was great but the 2nd half only maintained interest because of the intensity and closeness of the game, the skills did drop considerably in the 2nd half and I must admit I turned over to the Carlton v Hawthorn game but then went back to the Norwood game when that had finished.
Norwood fans must be nigh on suicidal, so much promised this year and the effort today would just make last week's game even harder to live with.
Great to see 2 sides who don't disrespect their guernseys and have sponsors logos that compliment their uniform not detract from it.

A magnificent effort goes unrewarded
Heard reports after the game that ABC personnel said Norwood's last shot at goal actually
went through untouched. Can anyone shed some light on this ?
Even if we lost 'officially', I'll sleep better believing we won by 4 points !
Can't wait to have another crack at the Dogs with Kite & maybe Schultz replacing a couple
of our lesser lights.
Congrats CDFC, I'm gutted, but if nothing else, I hope NFC gained some respect today.
