Eagles v Port @ Woodville

U16s
Eagles 2.0 3.3 6.6 9.8.62
Port 2.5 7.5 10.7 15.7.97

Umpireing was crap. I think they watch too much AFL footy.

U18s
Eagles 0.2 4.10 7.10 11.12.78
Port 5.2 6.4 10.11 11.16.82

I have noticed in the U/16's that they are calling the sling tackles a lot.

Read Carefully

Under 16's

Norwood 3.4 10.10 19.13 24.18 162
North 3.0 4.0 4.3 5.4 34

Under 18's

Norwood 3.3 5.4 8.7 20.9 129
North 4.5 9.7 17.9 18.10 118

no typos in the under 18's result

As for umpiring.

Under 16's excellent

Under 18's very poor.

Did they swap Guernseys at 3/4 time Whatever??? Up by over nine goals to lose by two???

Spelly that has got to be some kind of record for the entire SANFL competition.

What do you say as a) the winning coach and b) the losing coach.

North basically couldn't get the hand on a contested ball in the last quarter.

Their under 17's were killing Norwood for the first 3 quarters.

Norwood decided to play the way they should in the last and just brushed North aside like they should have all day

Well, it absolutely smashed the previous under 19s record. 36 points was the greatest:

Round 3 1965
Norwood 2.3 5.4 7.7 14.8 (92)
North 7.2 12.6 13.7 14.7 (91)

Round 9 1989
North 2.2 3.7 4.8 11.15 (81)
Sturt 5.2 5.4 10.8 10.9 (69)

However, there has been one even greater. In the Reserves, the margin was 59 points:

Round 17 1978
Woodville 2.2 3.9 5.10 16.13 (109)
Port 6.8 9.11 14.15 15.18 (108)

And in that night series match between Glenelg and Sturt, Glenelg were 59 points behind at the start of the last quarter.

I was thinking of the margin overcome - 56 points.

If you are talking about the umpires yesterday at Woodville, you must have seen a different game to the ones that the Port Timekeeper and the game that I saw. The Port Timekeeper wasn't happy with the standard of the umpires.

That's fine then, the games at Woodville were the other way round.
