HALL JOINS THE TIGERS

Glenelg Football Club is pleased to announce former AFL and WAFL Premiership
player Chris Hall has signed with the Bays for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
The three-time WAFL Premiership Player (2006, 2007, 2008) and 2008 Simpson
Medallist - Best on Ground in a Grand Final - was recruited from Subiaco in Perth
where he played 46 games including successive Grand Finals.
The 27 year old stands at 178cm and weighs 85kg. Hall is a strong utility midfield/
half-forward with a damaging left foot kick.
Senior Coach Mark Mickan is delighted with the new signing.
“Chris comes with a wealth of success, experience and knowledge. He is a talented
player who will add class and strength to our current mid-field.”
Prior to Perth, Hall played for South Adelaide Football Club where he was also listed
with Port Adelaide Football Club for 4 years. Hall won South Adelaide’s Best and
Fairest award in 2003.
Hall will debut in round 2 against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval this Saturday 4th
April. All members and supporters are encouraged to get along and support Hall and
the Tigers in their second match of the 2009 SANFL season.

No need mate, we are using the North model, Chris is playing for base league payments but is now on the coaching panel as Assistant Midfield Coach.... :D ;)

Can you let me know when the ruck coaching sessions are on at North I would love to see Ackland coach himself...

Boooooring

Good news he has signed for 2 years, even if we had Cap restraints this season his contract could easily be backended for 2010 to ensure everything is above board....

I am always dissapointed when a player returns from interstate and does not return to his origonal club.

In this case South put a lot into his development only to see Glenelg reap the rewards when he is in his prime.

Secondly I would be pissed if I was a glenelg junior as it will mean even fewer oppurtunities to prove themselves at the top level.

I think it says as much about Hall's relationship with South when he left as to his player payments from Glenelg. South should be less worried about what Glenelg is doing to lure him and more worried about what they've done to have a junior not want to go back and play with his best mate. Did anyone not think it strange Hall said his reason for leaving was because they wanted to build a house on a block of land over there, and now that it's built he's come home? Obviously that's not the real reason but if the real reason is so bad he has to come up with a story as weak as that there must be a bit of controversy behind it.
