I hope this morning's fish wrapping hasn't set the standard for it's SANFL coverage this year. One good article about Centrals, but no write ups on the games. Poor form!

The main individual game reviews were written in the Sunday Mail...

Otherwise check out the Messenger online (there is a link on the front page of this site) for comprehensive wraps, coaches comments, scores and photos...

It looks as if the Advertiser still does their own match stats looking at the low number of hit outs and tackles. So there are three lots of stats going around now; clubs; Champion Data and Advertiser.

The whole footy pull out section was crap. There was no mention of the next rounds' games when and where, the ladder was miniscule, and as mentioned the SANFL write up was non existent. I don't care if the Sunday Mail do it, The Advertiser always used to and it was a good section, but this now is rubbish.
While talking about stats for AFL and SANFL in the paper, where do the selections for best players come from, are they from the respective clubs or what?

I think you'll find the best players published in the papers are the selections of the journo who attended the game to write the review...

Cheers, wondered that for a long time. I think it'd be more professional if it was the clubs selections in the paper. They know their players and the jobs given to them.
