Good Work
Phil im worried about the match of the year game at souths could be effected by the broadcast, crowds forcasts have dropped already from 1200 to 1999, may not venture that far if wet and cold lol

by whatever
Pretty good effort by the ABC to cover 7 different clubs in the first 4 weeks
a pity Port is one to miss out, North the other unlucky one

Yes, but it does say subject to change, and I'd have thought that the TV game would not have the radio. As far as Round 2 goes, that's what happens where there is only two dedicated radio stations and four games to cover.

Got to remember that Life will be at Noarlunga and that would make it hard to get to Elizabeth and set up before the game starts. RPH are doing the twilight game that starts at 4:30 and they would overlap.

Market share make sense to broadcast games where clubs actually have a following...
*grabs popcorn, sits back and waits for the on-slaught*

Hence the decision to broadcast the South/West game in Round 1.

Maybe LifeFM could cover two matches. I know they have the game at Noarlunga, but anything is possible.

South and West have the largest following of any of the clubs playing on Saturday afternoon.

What about the country and amatuer league clubs playing their trial games?

That is disappointing for the eagles fans who can't make the first two games.
I am also very surprised that West Vs South is the broadcast game when Glenelg are playing Sturt. Is that deliberate to attract a huge crowd to the bay?

It's dissapointing for the Eagles fans that can't make the first 2 games because they chose to go and watch their Cows in the AwFuL
The ABC has the minor round time slot of 2.30pm - 5.30pm on Saturday afternoons only so the twilight game between Sturt and Glenelg wont be covered and the South v West game is the only scheduled match in this time slot.
The ABC do of course cover the finals which are played on a Sunday but minor rounds, they only do the Saturday afternoon time slot. In saying that though, there was some tak not that long ago about the possibility of them covering some Friday night games live but I think they may be long term when a few other clubs have suffice lighting facilities.

Yeah but with the South v West game being on TV anyway, The SANFL could simply switch Life FM's coverage from that game to the Centrals game for example.
