SANFL - value for money?

Picked this up on the official WAFL website...
"Admission for an adult will increase from $10 to $12. Concession card holders will also pay $2 more – the price of their ticket rising from $7 to $9.
A copy of the Football Budget, the official program of the WAFL, is included in the entry fee for those purchasing a ticket."
I think this confirms we are on a good wicket as far as admission fees are confirmed, although the concept of including a budget in with the ticket is an interesting one..

It also implies that a lot of people don't pay to get into the game !!!

$9 for concession is a bit steep when you look at the entry price here.

Possibly one of the reasons they dont get the crowds that the SANFL does.
It's catch 22 however, there's bugger all money in the WAFL so they're trying to make more. Personally I reckon it'd be better to go cheaper and cash in on the fact it's difficult to get in to the AFL games here and try and make more back on the catering.

seems to be about same price when you think buget cost 2-3. I would rather cheaper though as dont give a toss about budget anyway.

2009 will be $10 for SANFL up $1.
Budget @ $3
comparing entrance costs then WAFL $12 SANFL $13 if you decide to have a budget.

If you are unlucky enough to be served by that snaggletoothed old fishwife, your budget will cost a dollar or two more. Count your change, people....

At one stage they had free entry into the WAFL and it proved to be one of the worst things they did in relation to crowd attendances, the value of "Free" isnt seen quite so high by the punters as one might think! What it does is denigrate the competition instead.

I think the big winner for the SANFL is the free entry for all under 18s. Means a stack of kids with nothing to do on a saturday get to go to their local games. Even if only a few end up being long term paying members the fact we've got a good chance to impress them in their youth must surely help the comp long term.
