Bye Bye deep pockets?

Postby HeartBeatsTrue » Fri Feb 27, 2009 1:07 pm

Article from the Advertiser re Adelaide Oval redevelopment starting soon.

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,25112579-2682,00.html

Quote that caught my eye was this:
"The redevelopment will change the playing field from its current semi-rectangular shape to an oval, and the new grandstand will boost the stadium's capacity to 37,000."

Will this be the end of deep pockets at Adelaide Oval?

Hopefully, I can't stand watching our game played on a rectangle.
Ive seen pics of games in the past and it used to be of more of an oval configuratuion then too, not sure why or when it changed to its current crazy shape.

About time. One of the few negatives about AO.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

To be honest, I thought it was something to do with player payments ;)
It's all the SANFL's fault.

The only thing negative about AO is the shape?

How about the SACA?

Get rid of them and give the ground to the SANFL, football and cricket would be the winners then.

I said "one of the few".. not "the only".
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Yes, let's have a crack at the people there doing something at the moment. Easy target for most, but those who actually understand some things would have a differing opinion.
