Yes, ME, we are aware of that, hence the "from" meaning the final 3 bench players could come from the list of players mentioned.

In saying that, it reminds me about a thread I started up last year and has been discussed at length in the past and that is the 4 interchange players. I, for the life of me, can't understand why we don't have 4 interchange players in the SANFL.

I believe the VFL are now actually having 5 on the bench (1 spot is allocated to a TAC Cup player) and that is the point I've been hammering home all along. Having an extra spot on the bench means another kid gets a chance to play league football.

It is well publicised that the new Under 18's competition introduced into the SANFL this year means up to 30 or 40 kids are now out of our system. One extra spot on the bench across league, reserves and under 18's means 3 other kids get an opportunity to represent their club.

Not a bad side at all WHUFC, except, having missed most of 2008 with a foot injury, I would probably give Louis Hadden the spot on the wing and Leigh Westhoff would have to come through the 2's.

Out of the AFL listed players I think realistically the only player we may not available for selection in round 1 would be Justin Westhoff. I think Symes might be a chance to play a few games early for us coming back from his hand injuries, Griffin is copping criticism in the media and may not be picked by Neil Craig and M.Westhoff, J.Giles, J.Moss and R.Henderson are more likely to be starting the year in the SANFL as opposed to the AFL.

Regardless of who is and isn't available, it is going to be an interesting dilemma for the coaching staff and selection committee come round 1...

Yeah i sort of forgot it is a round1 side so Hadden will probably get his chance or even Lee Spurr.

By not including any AFL listed players it does show how much depth the club has.

I noticed you've added Kinal and Borholm to your original list. I was going to bring up where are these blokes...only as I know that they've been dangled fairly large carrots to jump ship...especially if they're only going to be 2's players!
