what are you (both teams) supporters looking to see first up in a trial ?

for me the score is irrelevant, in the next few trial games i want to see improvement each week & be spot on for round 1 i also want to see the new blokes, the younger blokes & how they are gelling together, to see if we can cover the losses of bode, sherwood & rudolph.

with norwood i'd like to see how their recruits go in the first up hit out & see how their forward line structure functions presumingly without walker

overall i hope to see a good hit out with no injuries to either team

About the same as you mate, in order:

- No injuries
- Kids or recruits who look to have the ability to improve the senior list from the year before
- Style of football we're trying to play
- New key members of the opposition

I'm pretty sure that was the starting time mentioned over on the SANFL web site...

I did hear on radio today that it is forecast for 40 degrees on Friday and I know that the start times of all trial games will be dependant on weather.

Obviously it wont be 40 at that time of the evening but it will still be hot so I guess we just have to stay tuned like Bayman said for the start time.

Regardless of where, when and how hot it is, I'll be heading along as an interested onlooker and just glad to be getting some live in the flesh SANFL action. Plus I live 800m from the Parade so I can just walk down there !!

Will be less stressful playing on Friday evening even though it may still be 35 deg than 30 degrees on Saturday arvo due to the absence of the radiant heat load.

www.glenelgfc.com.au are reporting that the reserves will now start at 6:00 pm on Friday and the league will "endeavour" to start at 7:45 pm.

Due to the heat the reserves game time has been pushed back from 5:20 pm.

Good move

mate in a nutahell as the angle of the sun decreases the dirext radiant healt load on the person decreases. In darwin we did expereiments on the body temperature changes in hot, humid and high radiant heat load (day): hot, humid and low radiant heat load (late afternoon) and hot, humid and no radiant heat load (night game) and bar far the most stressfull conditions are hot, humid and high radiant heat load (day) conditions.

mate I'll hunt up our data and try and show you on friday night (think I have it on a disc here at home).

Forecast max for Friday is now 34. With the minimum just 18 Sat morn, I would expect that it will be pretty cool at night.

If you barracked for Glenelg, would you want to be watching footy in February?

I reckon this game might be close if we can keep the Bays to less than 2 goals
