WWT Merger - Supporters survey

Postby Hondo » Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:42 pm

Following on from CP's thread, I'm interested see how Woodville, WT & WWT supporters embraced the merger, or otherwise. I guess if you are posting on here you haven't abandoned the SANFL so the poll will be skewed one way, oh well.

No malice intended. I agree with CP, the way in which the supporters have handled the merger is something to be proud of. It would be very easy to disappear off in a spiteful protest (although I am sure a few did just that).

Anyway, let's find out.

Why are we all so concerned with mergers at the moment?

No idea DW, I'm just jumping on the bandwagon

I doubt we'll see any mergers in the forseeable future, TBH

I don't for a minute think a merger is imminent, but I've always wondered how it would affect people differently, and have admired the way WWT went about it ... From my perspective it's always been a pretty fair split they gave to both Woodville and West Torrens, but then again Im distanced from it.

Given the lack of matches to discuss at the moment, and the rumours surrounding certain clubs and their financial disarray, it could be a reality one day (no matter how remote the possibility)?

Just thought it would be good to get people's opinions on it ... It was intended the same way as Hondo's - Ie, without any malice whatsoever.

I may have painted a rosy picture in the other thread. But there are die hard Woodville and West Torrens fans who either only come out on special days for either club or just stay away .
then there are people like my 20 yo who have only known WWT.
