Lets get SANFL back on 5AA in 2009!

I wanted to bring up for discussion the possibility of this site waging a campaign to get SANFL minor round games put back onto the 5AA broadcast schedule.

With the changing of the guard at 5AA it is probably a good time as any bring this up to their management for consideration.

5AA are happy to broadcast the SANFL Grand Final yet it would be a good thing if they particpated throughout the regular season as well. Having the matches on 5AA would also go some way to increasing interest from the general public in SANFL footy.

I am not 100% sure about exactly how we might go about it, we could have an email campaign of course or even a sustained attempt at calling their sports show to make our thoughts known. Yet for it to work it has to be a united attempt in whichever direction we choose to go, hence putting it up for discussion to see what can be done.

Thoughts?

Whilst I'd love to see as much coverage of the SANFL on radio as possible, with it's AFL commitments it'd be nigh impossible for 'AA to take a call of a SANFL game. I dare say it'd make more money in advertising from broadcasting AFL games then it would SANFL games as well....

while it'd be great to hear, 5aa is a business & to make $$$ (they bought the rights to the afl) & to recoup their money & then make a profit they would have to broadcast afl rather than sanfl, while i know they did the odd friday night game about 3 years ago i'd think it would be in the contract to broadcast those games

thankgod for 5rph & lifefm & at least those commentators know the players

SPOT ON, to think the SANFL would lift their ratings is a pipe dream, a business decision about returning the correct result for the companies shareholders is the right result

If AA are lucky enough to acquire rights then bring Daniel Norton on board with Wildy Bone and Anthony Tucker.
