i went to the central/sturt game in round 1 & before the game they let me in to the club yet at half time they didn't as i wasn't a member yet i hear their adds for 'grand central' & part of the add says you dont have to be a member its like a pub everyone is welcome ALL THE TIME & we're now open till 2am blah blah blah.

i can tell you if it happens this week i'll put in a complaint to the appropriate people as this was ridicoulous & after hearing these adds everyday since it really irks me, perhaps my money isn't good enough !!!! & for the record i dont drink so it wasn't because i was drunk or anything of that nature

Maybe they knew you were a non-drinker and wasn't going to put anything in the till :)

Seriously though, I've noticed a lot of advertising of late where they make incorrect statements, I guess it is a sign of the times where advertising standards are also on the wane. Maybe you should have asked to speak with the social club manager and asked him to explain why the advertisement says one thing and yet the club practices another.

I'll think you'll find that that was done because they thought there was going to be mobs going to the rooms. A few 'Dogs members missed out on going into the rooms too because they didn't have their cards on them, silly boys  . I would be surprised if it happens this week as I think 4,500 might be about the crowd compared to 7,000 in Rd1.

ah
