Does anyone on here know what happened to Port Magpies reserves player Matt Kerley? I remember that he played 3 reserves matches, got in the best players once, then just disappeared off the record. I've checked the Port Magpies website and his name isn't in the 2009 player profiles but his profile page is still on the website. In the players news page he is listed as an in but the list looks like the 2008 in & outs. Anyone know what happened? Couldn't cut it? Injuried?? Other reasons???

Just happened to be viewing some Country sites and the name Clive Waterhouse appeared. Does anyone know if Clive is continuing his career in 2009 at the magpies?

It has been mentioned on here, in the paper and on PAM's website that Clive was going around again in the SANFL for season 2009 and I've seen pictures of him at pre season training.

In line with rupert's post above, there is strong links with Clive Waterhouse signing at Freeling in the Barossa League ??? Interesting !!!

Unfortunately for Port supporters, it appears Johns has signed with a WAFL club.

DUMPED Bomber Courtney Johns is considering legal action over the knee injury that finished his season and threatens to end his career. Johns ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament playing at Port Melbourne for the Bendigo Bombers last month and is receiving legal advice from Slater & Gordon over concerns the ground was too hard.

Johns' manager Peter Jess last night told The Footy Show an investigation had started into the condition of Port Melbourne's TEAC Oval.

"What we've got to find out is whether it was a safe workplace," Jess said.

"We've been to the AFLPA and asked them to check the ground and at this stage we don't have a final result on that.

"If it is found that it is not a safe workplace, then I would think that's probably going to be something that we will follow up."

So he will be playing back at East Fremantle next year. I thought it was weird he was not named in the latest list of magpies recruits.

Thank god he is not coming to port.

He would have been a candidate for worst recruit ever thread.
