I’ve been to Adelaide Oval the last two weeks when the Eagles have played. What if I wanted to have a kick on the Oval with my kids? The SANFL adverts on TV advertise this as a feature. Could I sue for false advertising?

Seriously though I know its all about insurance but surely this needs to be revisited by the SANFL, SACA, Lawyers, Insurers, Politicians etc. Especially in light of recent news about inactivity and obesity among our young – they need more encouragement to get out and have a run around, not less. Just another example of the degradation in community traditions & values.

Besides, the management of Adelaide Oval has many, many things to fix besides access to the ground. For example, we do NOT need techno music exceeding 100 decibels and 300 b.p.m. pumped into our ears during the breaks. We do NOT need an announcer to tell us the score immediately at the conclusion of a quarter, particularly when one player is taking a shot on goal after the siren.

Friday night before the game was terrible, standing there with a few lads enjoying a beer and talking about the game which starts in only 10 minutes, and they decided to test out the Adelaide Oval sound system. It was bloody loud, i dont mind a bit of loud music but not at the footy! To start with they played a Queen song (maybe We Are The Champions? my memory is a bit of a blur) remixed possibly by Limp Bizkit? It was tragic.

Good Point guys made the point after the ANZAC DAY clash at the conclusion of the game two young Centrals supporters were told to leave the the ground sraight away by a Beefcake Security Guard the kids would have been five or six years old thought it was a disgrace.

P.S. Pseudo, there's no mud at Adelaide Oval, only the centre wicket - that's roped off anyway.

Yeah my mates 4/5 year old got told off last year for just small kicks to us from about 2 metres away on the hill. I will join the law suit!!! No really this is bad advertising so if SANFL marketing reading this, change the ad and get rid of the guy doing it (forgot his name).
Another thing the plastic glasses suck why not have opened cans like every other ground as us SANFL supportors(90% or more) would never throw a can at someone or our mates would join it belting us up.

The security at the Adelaide Oval is really bad. At the training for the test match and one dayers last year they were bossing kids around all day. Some of them really aren't people friendly and give the Adelaide Oval a bad reputation.

Surely 100 kids in sneakers is going to do less damage to the "hallowed turf" then 80 men with sprigged boots running, turning & twisting at full speed. I remember only a couple of years ago you were able to have a kick for about 15 mins but at least it was something. Adelaide Oval is the the ground my kids look forward to going to the least and with all the finals except the biggie to be played at Adelaide, it is going to be hard to get kids interested in going.

Even if you take Adelaide Oval out of the equation, the ad is still false as he says "have a kick at half time" which is the only break time that you can't have a kick cos the mini league kids are out there!

little bayman use to love the adelaide oval for both cricket & footy because he could play as well (on hill & oval) now he doesn't want to go there because he cant play he went to the double header & as soon as our game was finished he wanted out as he cant play, yet he can handle watching the 2's & the league as long as he can kick on the oval & play
